4th times the charm! .........well not exactly

On the way to a meeting on the other side of Houston this morning I got pulled over for the 4th time in 2 1/2 years. The past three times I got pulled over I was just given a warning and let off. This time i thought for sure i would get that speeding citation, especially when he told me he got me going 61 in a 40. However he said due to my perfect driving record and the fact that i didn't run on him (which is funny, because other officers have said the same thing to which my response always is, "nah, it's only a 250, i wouldn't make it far. Lol) was given a ticket for not being able to find my current insurance card, which i do have insurance, just not sure where the hell i stuck my newest card. All i have to do is go into station and show that i do indeed have insurance and ticket will be thrown out.

Nice
Same thing happened to me in Kemah last week in my suburban. But got pulled over for the lights that light up the license plate.

Leave a little early next time?

That's the thing, there was no reason for me to speed. I wad on a road i have only been on a couple times. Right before the hill where the cops were sitting on top of, the speed limit is 55. Right when you get to the hill it goes to 40, but i did not see the sign. I throttled up a bit more since about to go up hill and right before cresting i saw the cop cars and it was over at that time. I would have been early to meeting had i gone speed limit and not gotten pulled over. Ended up only being late about 10 minutes. Lesson learned.

Glad to see you were let off!

Cops have no idea how to tell the difference between a motorcycle capable of doing 180 mph supersport vs a 100 mph ninja 250. So next time you get pulled over and he thanks you for not running let him know that you pulled over out of respect and that "I would never run for the cops" rather than tell him how you're bike is too inferior to outrun them. lol just my .02
