Sold! Scott's Carbon Fiber Hugger

Selling a Scott's Carbon Fiber Hugger for the 08-12 Ninja 250. Bought this to mount on my EX-500 but it doesn't fit since i have an undertail exhaust. It is used and has no damage, but there are a couple of small nicks in the paint, clearly shown in the pics. Previous owner painted it flat black, it's light as a feather and looks good to boot. Selling for $70 plus shipping

Scott... haven't heard his name in years. Is he still around?
He was going to send me a free hugger to demo back in '08, but never actually materialized.

Sure is. He doesn't keep the huggers in stock, but he makes them to order. I plan on buying one from him. He has three styles: old style, new style, and a larger new style. I have some pics he sent me of them if you'd like to see.

you simply clean the surface area where ur putting it, peel off the tape and place it, the hardest thing about the install is screwing the support chain guard piece into place

I assume you are referring to carbon fiber tape/vinyl and not the actual tire hugger? Hopefully it does not tape on?

Am I missing something?

theres a flat area just between the front of the rear tired and the back of the preload shock on the bike, clean that area off, get the hugger and peel the double sided tape off of the flat surface on the hugger, place the flat surface of the hugger on the smooth spot between the tire/preload and scotts hugger chain guard part goes over the stock chain guard, u just need to unscrew the oem and rescrew it with the scotts hugger OVER the oem chainguard.

Yes i bought mine a long time ago. the 3mm double sided tape that scott provided lasted well over a year with all season riding. It survived a crash into a bunch of dirt/leaves/sticks/twigs at around 30mph, flooded and gravel roads and the general ware n tear of riding every day.

i noticed the top right corner side of the tape was starting to loosen up. The rest of the tape was fine, I was just in the mood to replace the old tape anyway so i took it off. I got some pics of it off the bike i'll upload in a few. I didnt get any of it on/next to the pic as its really dirty and you wouldnt be able to tell all that well. Cant remember which kind of paint scott used but its spot on to the 2012 black SE paint.

*edit* Got these pics to show off the very few dings its received over the course of me having it.

and as u can see the bottom is still relatively nice too.

You can also add to the list, that it held up to track days.

The old style is the smooth surface, the new style has the modern ridges on top (kinda like your front fender), and the larger one is the new style just bigger (for the biggest tire). They're all available in carbon fiber too, for a fee. He can paint them any kawi color.
