New Pirelli sizes

You can now get the Supercorsa SC2 in a 140, so no more having to run a 140 RossoII with a SC 110 in the front. Race tires are like crack lol.

sure it will, just make sure to use your rains a few times to help out

I'm interested in the results of this since I may drop down to newgen 250 racing someday to save mad $$$

I chatted with one of the are Pirelli reps over email. 140s are confirmed, but won't be out until the latter part of March. About $350 for a set. I will be trying them out after I beat up the Unbeaten's.

I haven't asked about PSI. Good question.

James told me that the 150 should be used for the 300's because of the rim size. I had no idea. So I'll be going with that and the 110 upfront. For the 250's, the 140 in the rear is the way to go.

I found this site. I don't know if they are still good pressures. On the street riding hard I run my DR2s at 27 psi front 27 psi rear. So I would assume the Super Corsas are similar.

Pirelli website also has pressures listed, go here http://www.pirelli.com/tire/us/en/mo...ubtype%3Dtrack and then click "Technical Advice".

On the west coast CT Racing should have them, they provided me with SC1:s at least.

Hey Chris. I see you are in my general area. You can get your tires through Metric Devil, who is our regional Pirelli vendor for the Mid Atlantic. Or I can send you the southern rep's info who is taking care of me.

STG no longer seems to carry them.

Hey guys, not a frequent poster but can definetly confirm the new tires. Just got them Monday. 110 sc1/140 sc2. Will be testing them out the 31st at buttonwillow. I have buddy who's a Pirelli distributer and was able to get me a set. Will post back on how they compare to the Rosso combo.

I have to say, I really like the tires. I'm not one to get my knee down at all. But I was touching down all day with these tires, and still felt like there was more lean available. The front tire has loads of grip. It almost feels like too much grip. I'm running 31f/26r, and the tires look great after 2 race weekends and a track day.

I'm really a fan. But for $330+ compared to the Dunlop Alpha 13s which are $240, I'm not sure. But I don't know yet if the Dunlop's feel like the Pirelli's If so, I will be making the switch again.

no such thing as too much grip if the tires last

my next set will be the alphas due to cost but I'd expect the pirellis to be better tires if only due to the price. The DRIIs I have on the bike now are doing well, the rear feels planted but the front feels iffy when I enter WOT. That may be more of a suspension issue than a tire issue though

Keep us updated, it would be nice if the dunlop was close. You can get the set for the price of the SC front lol

I personally think the SC1 110 is a much much better tire than the 003RS and marginally better than the 003Pro 120. I personally think the 003RS rear is better than the Rosso II rear though. I have not ridden the 140 SC rear but would have to imagine it would be marginally better than the 003RS rear as well.
