How long have you had it?

Just wondering how long you guys or girls have owned your 250. I really like mine and have no thought ,s of selling it. Between the cheap insurance and gas cost,s why would I. Here in Ontario Canada our motorcycle insurance rates are completely nuts it stop,s a lot of people from buying a bike

Have had a ninjette in the garage for 11 years now, but are on our third (pre-gen, new-gen, and now a 300).

I've had mine for 3 years. I think my next bike is going to be the FZ-03 if it hits our shores, if not then an R3.

I had mine for two and a half years. Really liked it. And the guy who bought it from me is really enjoying it.

With respect to insurance, the Ninja 250 was the most expensive of my three bikes to insure: even more than the 750cc BMW.

I couldn't live with the 250 for very long. I could see maybe a year tops for me PERSONALLY. I loved the ninja 250 and I wouldn't mind having one again, but if I could only own one bike a 250 would not be it. The 300 is a different story. The 300 is so much more fun compared to the 250 and it has fuel injection which makes for less maintenance.

My hopes are to have my 600rr as my DD, my Ninja 300 as a track only bike, and a dual sport for the off days, now that would be awesome!

Cool

I have had a pre-gen Ninja 250 in my garage since 2009, bought and sold a few of them, always made profits.
Honestly, pre-gen 250's are the best value for the performance IMO.
If you are capable to riding a pre-gen 250 fast, there is no need for more on public roads.

Bought my 250 April of last year. If it had a little more power, and a bit less cramped, I'd be keeping it for a few more years. I ran it for a year, had it pretty well set up for what I want, but wringing it's neck to keep up with my group for 2400 miles was very very tiring.

Bought wife's ninja a few years back, it's been on the road for 3 years now.
She JUST replaced it with a versys tonight

Long enough to learn how to ride it properly in all conditions, as well as to learn enough to understand the monumental amount of knowledge that I need to know if I want to be a genuinely good rider someday
