How many mirrors have you smacked on your daily commute?

I may, or may not have smacked 3 mirrors (with my mirrors) at the same time on different days, at the same onramp in my hometown. Now I have to take a different route, dangit.

No damage, can't even see scratches on my mirrors, they just fold back. I'm assuming that means it didn't damage the other mirror either. I just feel really damn guilty.

I've been commuting every day for about 10 months now, but this one series of double lane lefts is packed to the gills during rush hour and its the best way to get on the freeway. Unfortunately it is also narrow and configured in such a way to get the cars really really close and after 10 months of riding I find myself "shooting" through narrower and narrower gaps as I get more comfortable. Now I'm overestimating my width I guess.

I thought about getting those CRG commuter bar end mirrors that fold back, but I don't think it would be a good angle to look at seeing as we aren't laid all the way over like a full sportbike. It's not my mirrors fault anyway, it's mine.

None as we're not allowed to lane split here. I'd like to think I wouldn't smack any if it were though since that could mean that you're going too fast/going through holes you have no business trying to fit through. IMO, Lanesplitting is already controversial enough so it's the rider's responsiblity to prevent their bike from contacting any other vehicles. Otherwise, it's pretty much a hit and run.

Lol, from a cager perspective, I know I'd be pissed if I got hit by a lanesplitter.

Not sure how I feel about you hitting mirrors and not checking to make sure you did not cause damage. If anyone were to do that to my mustang, the cops would probably have to restrain me from running them over at first chance.

in 3 years i've hit 2 mirrors. one with my arm because the asshole tried to merge into me, one with my mirror because i wasn't used to the position it was in. after both, i promptly flipped the bird and wheelied away.

I was lane splitting on Saturday in stopped traffic. Got to a narrow spot, stopped, put my feet out, went to pull my mirrors in to make my bike skinnier (#ProLaneSplittingTip I got from @nycsteve). And the car to my right promptly ran over the end of my boot #LaneSplittingFail.

I just stop. Then weave. While prancing my legs around.

I smacked one mirror in three years of lane splitting daily in San Diego. I'm pretty sure the car swerved while I was glancing the other way because there was plenty of room where I pointed my bike when I pointed it.

I don't think I've ever hit a car with my mirror, but I've found it out of place a few times..

It partially ripped off my toe slider but ultimately it was my fault. Lesson learned if it's too narrow to get through with my mirrors extended I should just wait.

I just hit my first mirror the other day. I thought I was the only one. You sure as hell bet I gassed it hard after that happened. And by that I mean 5mph faster than the stopped traffic.
