I honestly think it should be 72 hours since here in Missouri we are hitting the 90's regularly, and it doesn't really get below the 60's at night now, let me tell you it makes for great riding weather on the way home from work at either 6am or 4am. Jiggles could easily get the current challenge in San Jose the population there is close to a million.

I think 72 hours would be good.

Dammit! Why did I not check Ninjette.org this morning! Ahhhhh. I was just feet away from the Mississippi River like 30 minutes ago with my ninja. I could have easily had this.

Maybe I'll go out again and get one with a different river that is a little closer to home.

So far 3 people want 72 hours between challenges and 1 person wants 1 week. I'm keeping a record of people's comments. Make your choice known or forever hold your peace!

Sombo will be back next weekend. I'll discuss the collected results with him and then we'll make a decision.

Current challenge:

I'd like to join the game and I think it should be 7 days. As much as I would love to ride during the week, I only have time to ride on weekends. But since I live in sunny SoCal I can pretty much ride every single weekend

52 challenges a year... it just makes sense!

Maybe Sunday to Sunday with the result of who won every Monday morning???

72 as well.
One simple reason: most good challenges are completed within this time already. Things move faster.

That's just a sign that 72 hours is too easy. It's not supposed to be that easy!

In some way, I can agree with that... anyhow

Sombo will be back next weekend. Then, this deity and the merciful goddess Akima will determine the outcome of this rather irrelevant dispute.

What difference will it make to you so? you check it before jumping on the bike & go for it.

The person who gets the current challenge sets the next one in the same post, 72 hour (or 7 day) time limit starts then.

72 hours stops the game going stale like the population sign challenge, nobody was going to get it & it went stale. If it's going to be got it usually goes within that time

your bike next to a river, stream, or any other moving body of water thats not a lake or the ocean

I agree. If it was something like best picture takes it or something, than sure but it's not. It's the first one to get a picture meeting the current challenge's requirements.

@CZroe : Not sure how 72hrs makes it any more easy than 7 days. Again, if it was best picture out of a collection, it'd be different but it's the first to get it so like Whiskey said, if a challenge is going to be met, it's usually within the first 72hrs. After that, it goes stale. The game is only as easy or as hard as the current challenge. The time limit that is given for you to complete that challenge doesn't really effect the difficulty, if only to make it more difficult with a shorter time. 3 days doesn't seem to be that unreasonable though.

current challenge:
your bike next to a river, stream, or any other moving body of water thats not a lake or the ocean

I got the idea because on the way to the river I passed by this little cafe downtown and they have an old british phone booth out front. It got me thinking and I realized that was the only phone booth I've ever seen in my whole life. You almost don't see pay phones anymore either but they're not nearly as interesting to look at.

I didn't have to go far to find these pictures!

They are all British telephone booths, but as you can see they're being used for more than just telephones

Your standard booth for making calls:
booth.jpg

The queen lives in this one:
booth_queen1.jpg
booth_queen2.jpg
booth_queen3.jpg

This one is used a public library. The local people share it:
booth_library1.jpg
booth_library2.jpg

If accepted I'll come up with a new challenge.
