Talking Never raced before? Race AFM for $99.00

If you've been thinking about racing, this is an offer you can't refuse! AFM is offering a super-special deal for the last two rounds of the 2013 season:

$99 will get you ALL of the following:

* AFM 1/2 year license
* New Racer School put on by AFM
* Saturday practice
* Saturday races
* Scoring transmitter for the entire weekend
* One chance to win a brand new Yamaha R6 with every race you enter for the rest of the season

If you're interested (or know someone who is) contact AFM:

* Respond on Facebook - American Federation of Motorcyclists
* Email afm@afmracing.org
* Call 510.796.7005 and leave a message

We will hook you up with whatever you need... tech help, bike prep, entry questions.

This offer will be good for the August 31-September 1 event at Sonoma, and the October 5-6 event at Thunderhill.

What are you waiting for??? This is the deal you've been waiting for! We'll see YOU at the track!!

And there's more as many of our vendors are now throwing extras for YOU the NEW RACER!

Sorry to cross post, but it's easier to show you everything that has started to happen since we announced this this morning. Just read the NRS posts.

Hope to see you all at either of our last 2 rounds.

This would come out the day AFTER I finish the NRS!!!

I can't wait until I get my license and numbers! Then I can put AFM #510 (think SLO) in my tag and people will think I'm a really cool fast guy!

Holy ****. I spent around 5 or 6 times that the first time I raced AFM. The saturday practice alone costs way more than $99. FUUUUUUUUCK, anyone who can take advantage of this and doesn't when they're offering sonoma for less than a bill is dead to me

Alex, sounds right as long as you pick NRS write $99 NRS next to the box.

If you pick reciprocal or expert....well I don't think that will work. And you will get to race Thill if you wanted to however it wouldn't be discounted that weekend.

Tiff....right?!? Heck when I came back after not racing for 21 years, they made me take an expert license

Wow that's an incredible deal. I would love to race with AFM again and am planning on entering Buttonwillow next season. With any luck I'll make it out for a Sears Point round also. Just out of curiosity what kind of discount can a former AFM #1 plate holder get? Obviously I'm kidding about the discount but not about riding at Sears Point again.

Would this be Mr. Nitto? Well as a former #10 holder, you would probably get the same discount I did...

But it would be great to have you back. I came out of retirement 2 years ago and am having fun with the kids. When they beat me, I tell them that's quite an accomplishment beating an old fat guy, and when I beat them, well I just go take a nap with a big ass grin on my face

Yes it is. Like you I came out of retirement and started racing again this time with CVMA at the beginning of 2012. My son's fault since after riding with him and his friends down at Palomar talked it over with Pam and next thing you know we're back at the track. Started out just doing trackdays but surprise surprise it didn't take to long before I'm lined up on a grid again. Been a lot of fun and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to seeing you out at Buttonwillow next March.

That's fantastic Walt! We'll be looking forward to seeing you as well. Would like to talk to you about a re-union event I am beginning to coordinate for next year as we celebrate the AFM's 60th Year Anniversary!

And if memory serves correctly, you were part, of or coordinated the memorial for Steven at CVMA...Thank You for doing that, he was a great guy and it saddened me that I could not attend.
