Good Bye Miss Blue, SV650SF
Hey guys, been a long time since I've been active on here. Just so you all know I went down early this month. To put it simply I low sided avoiding another motor vehicle accident. Of course the roads were wet...
I won't go through the whole detail, but I'm pretty baffled on why I went down. I didn't snap on the brakes, I didn't lean hardly at all, and I had Pirelli Angel tires. The only thing I can think of as the cause is possibly a pocket of water or the painted lines on the road. Either way, I got a heavily bruised hip and mild case of whip lash from landing. The bike was totaled as you can see by the photos below. I am actually getting a near identical twin this weekend, so I'm stoked to get back out on the open road...I hate boring family cars. |

From the pics it looks like mechanically it's in alright shape. If forks are trashed, dump some new ones in there, tear off what's left of the fairings to run it naked, and put on a GS500 or SV650 round headlight.
Does it still run?

Thanks for the kind words guys.
The bike hit hard enough on the side and front there were just too many parts bent or broken to even bother. The repair cost was well above the value of the bike, so they totalled it and took her away. But the good news is that I am getting a new bike tomorrow. It's a 2002 Triumph Speed Triple 955i. I'll post pics in a different thread. |
