Changed picture processor
Noticed a strange problem yesterday, that when people were attaching jpg pictures, the thumbnails were not being created. Only the links would show, and not the pics themselves. I tried to repair/rebuild all thumbnails, and every single one failed, as the picture processor itself was no longer working. I was using the GD library, but it looks like the latest update to Centos broke it for some reason. I rebooted the server, and it was still broken, so I needed to fix it somehow.
There is a better processor called ImageMagick, and I installed that late last night. I ran it for the last 6 hrs rebuilding attachments, and it made it up through posts of March 2012 (starting from the beginning of the site). For some reason it still kept hanging there, so I need to figure it out. But - all new pictures that are attached going forward should work OK. So the ones that were attached in the last week or so, might be the only ones with the weird link alone. One neat feature of ImageMagick compared to GD, is that it can create a thumbnail of many more image types. One that you may notice is PDF's. Now if you attach a pdf here, it won't have the generic pdf icon, it will be a thumbnail of the PDF itself (look at any of the ones in the first posts of the DIY stickies). If you notice any weirdness in picture attachments other than what's already listed here, please let me know so I can check it out.

Can you make the forum to auto size posted images? Not when using an attachment but when using the image link [IMG]

There's a thread on that already and I have a strong argument why it should not happen

I already asked about that. Jiggles argument is compelling.
