Help With Part

My friend who just got his 2008 ninja 250 last week crashed while practicing in a parking lot. No major damage, but the black metal piece by the right foot peg broke and today we noticed on the front wheel this little bolt thing is kind of rashed up. Anyone know what it is called or the part number? Does it need to be replaced or is it fine the way it is? Thanks!

Front axle castle nut. Those threads on the axle may be buggered up to but taking the nut off should make em somewhat usable and fix the threads. Take care when putting the new nut on to ensure it threads on perfectly straight. Get a new pin while your at it.

I am sure someone will chime in with the part number.

For the time being you can just leave it, it's not going to cause any problems. The first time you have to remove the front wheel for a new tire is when you'll need to replace it if you haven't already.

You can try and find it on Kawasaki Parts Nation.

This is the link for the front tire. 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250r Front Tire Diagram

This is the front fork.

I gave you both because I couldn't tell which one is the screw you need.
But good luck!
