Run off the road
So bad new guys, after owning my Ninja for just under a month, I was run off the road by a ford f150 that was driving in both lanes down a narrow road and round a blind corner, leaving me with no where to go I tried to go round him but I did not have enough room and ended up slamming my Ninja into a wall sideways.
Had I have not had the sense to put it in sideways rather than head on I would be dead. I am thankful to still be alive. I should point out, it was a slow corner, I was on my way home and was doing well below the speed limit as I have seen cars take this corner the same way, so I was taking every precaution I could. The driver did not stop and I failed to get his plates. So I am unable to get his insurance to pay me out. It sucks. I have fractured my foot in 2 places on being a 12mm fracture of my heel leaving me off the bike till after christmas, and I also have a $1,200 repair bill. All left side fairings and fitting such as mirrors and indicators

Damn sorry to hear about your accident
Make a report to the police with the paperwork from the ambulance / hospital. The police might make it known to smash repairers and wreckers if a make and model comes in and asks for repairs and spare parts. My uncle had a ford bronco and got some parts from a narrellan wreckers near Campbeltown that expertise in American trucks etc. |

you could also streetfighter it...I've priced some components on amazon. and depending on your preferences for a headlight, mirrors, and signals and being DOT approved, it would only run you about $200-$250 for parts to convert it. Plus it would give you something to do while not being able to ride, not just mechanically, but as well as customization-wise. Just a thought...
Amazon.com Headlight 6.25' Headlight w/ brackets and turn signals included - $70 Mirrors Bar End Mirrors - $27 Gauges Trail Tech Vapor (All-in-one computer, includes mounting brackets) model # 75-300 - $96 Total Cost: $193 just to give you a rough idea...

Thanks guys. I have considered many things and have already ordered majority of parts. Insurance claim is not.worth it. I can install the parts myself. And it will be ready to ride in a few.weeks with me about 4 weeks behind. As much as I like the street fighter conversion idea I can't do that to my ninja. I love her too much with her parts I have spoken to see mate who's parents own a smash repairer to see if they can match the paint for me.

Very sorry to hear this. I have to ask: What were you wearing for gear on your feet? Not planning on flaming you. I'm just curious. Thanks!

Sorry. I was ran off the road by a ford too. I knew the guy who did it. He thought I was messing around with his girlfriend but I wasn't. So after the wreck she felt bad for me and took care if me.

Yes I was wearing boots. I was wearing my forma mirage boots. If it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't have a foot

Had I have braked I would have been hit by the car and either dead or close to it. I intentionally slid the read when i realised I was going.into the wall.no matter what I did. The road is rather narrow and there is not a lot of room
