Washed and waxed, fixed arched out headlight connector so now I've got both my HIDs back. Checked fluids and overall inspection before heading out tomorrow for a 1,500 mile weekend of riding

Blacked out my Hero3's with paint so they blend into the bike better.

Got some Motul 300V, RBF600, and oil filters for both the 250R and ZX6R. Going to see what the Motul Kool-Aid is all about and will send in an oil analysis w/ TBN at 5-7.5k miles.

Cleaned and lubed the chain

Then gave it a baby wipe bath with Meguiar's Quick Detailer and a microfiber towel

Got an Inspection sticker on the wrong plate. Hope it doesn't flag me because of wrong mileage...

Scraped the old sealant off the case halves.

I pulled the gas tank off. It had about 2 gallons of gas in it that as "fun" to empty... NOT.

I started with a pump and filled two cans. Then I dropped a screw inside and felt pretty stupid. Then I just took the petcock off and shook the rest out... can't hear the screw inside anymore, I think it may be in one of the jerry cans.

Now I need to go spread cat litter in my garage, then find the screw and then empty the cans into my old truck

I also dropped off said gas tank along with all my fairings to a body shop. Next time I see my baby's pieces it's gonna be magma orange instead of lime green

Installed my new Scorpion carbon fiber slip-on and TechSpec C3 tank grips. Took off the OEM rimtape with the intention of putting on different rimtape but I utterly failed at that and also realized I want thinner rimtape, so plain wheels for now. My bike's cramped corner of the garage isn't great for pics but here's one anyway.

Just finished flushing and filling both bikes with Motul RBF600. Pretty sure the PO of the ZX6R never flushed the rear brake lines as it was murky with black gunk.

How's the EFI doing? Got it pretty much stabilized? Still liking my rich map and ignition timing?

Any feedback for me on the rich map? I can make some changes for you if you think it's too lean/too rich in certain areas.

Seems low unless you're riding most of the time in full throttle...

What maintenance have you done lately.

Discovered that my rear shock preload was set at 5. Never changed it once I bought it but I will go through each of the settings during my commutes this week to see if I can find a preferable setting.

Yeah... not blowing my mind. It just lots of blocky asian bits that are expensive as balls.

My 03' is getting 70+mpg @ 70mph freeway...Worst I've had is around 50mpg going 85 mph freeway with city thrown in. Try some Seafoam if you have mot yet...it works miracles. Mileage wont be it's best right now cause of the ethanol in the current "Winter Blend" Fuel. There's an additive my friend turned me on to called Star-tron that counters the negative effects of ethanol including carmelizing of fuel.

did you know that most low end clothing companies can't afford to have their products made in china? their labor costs are too high these days. most textile manufacturing and sewing is done in cheaper countries like indonesia. chinese seamstresses aren't bad, actually. and really its not the location that will tell you the quality of the seamstress. high-end labels reject a lot more pieces because of defects instead of simply letting them go to sale. until you get into really high-end hand made stuff that is all pulled back and hand tied, its all the same ****. but buying real couture clothing will cost a lot. think at least $50 plus per shirt plus the sizing/tailor... which means most people will be paying around $150 for a shirt of that quality. however, if you know a good seamstress, and make friends, they can produce a true couture custom fit piece for the price of the fabric... which means that $150 hand made piece is now only about $15. moral of the story: buy your clothes hand made from a local tailor. make friends.

Yes I'm aware of that. Even my head's not that far up my ass. But that has nothing to do with motorcycles.

Bikerz parts look gaudy, blocky, and overdone, especially for a 250. Their novelty has worn off because they're so ugly and they're no longer new. I don't like farkly nonsense that does nothing except make a bike look like a transformer and cost a lot of money.

Like I said, it's your bike and your opinion. If you like your bike, that's all that matters.
