First track day in the books! NO major issues. Lost one DZUS fastener. And have a slight oil leak on right side of engine. Not enough to drop into the belly pan. I think I might have slightly overfilled the oil, so It could be that or a valve cover gasket, or the crush washers on the oil line banjo bolt. Will have to inspect.
Here are the before pics, Will have some track shots later in the week. Huge thanks to everyone on this forum for answering my many questions over the past few months! |

I also think my jetting need to be tweaked, running a 112 Factory Pro, When I would get to around 8kRPM WOT it wouldn't pull to redline very hard

Since you don't have the factory airbox, where does your crank breather go? The oil may be coming from that....

I have a small pod filter on it. The oil is splashed from near the banjo, to up and back toward the rear of the engine. So from the airflow it obviously makes it harder to pinpoint where the leak is. ON my test rides, where I didnt get it to redline. There were no signs of a leak. Only after this track day did this show up. My oil is definitely too full. I am going to drain and refill but not sure that is the cause for this.

I would say it's from your crank breather. This is pretty normal on a small Ninja for a track day, where the engine spends a lot of it's time near red line and the oil gets hot.
When I bought my track bike, there was oil in the belly pan. I traced this to the airbox where the factory breather goes. In our club, we have to block the airbox drain. However, this owner had not drained the oil out of the airbox for quite some time and it was starting to leak from the air box seam. I wouldn't worry about this too much, especially since you have over filled it.

Yeah on the cylinder head, right side of the motor up at the top, there is oil there, and then splashed down that right side. Nothing on the left side at all.

It would be worth a torque check on those bolts and possibly replacing the crush washers there. Check the valve cover bolts too, one might have vibrated loose.

Yeah, I think when I drain the oil. I will replace those washers, and recheck the torque on the valve cover, It clearly wasn't a lot of oil or it would have dripped into the belly pan, but enough to notice.
