My prep for Sandy was NOT supposed to include a drop :0/
So with Hurricane Sandy a day or two away before hitting, and the gorgeous weather today, I decided to hit the twisties today. It was great!
Then I get home, and work on bring Zouba into my laundry room so shes stays cozy and dry during the storm. I had laid out some cardboard to protect the floor. As I was stepping down to get her onto the center stand, one of the pieces of cardboard under my foot slid out from under me (in true Marx-Bros-bannana-peel style), and in starting to catch myself, the bike leans just a litttttlle too far away from me for me to do anything but shout, "no, no, no, f*ck!" as she lays down, and the two boys I live with come running in from the living room. Sigh. Picked her back up, then the boys tried to help me get her onto the center stand, and with the three of us on the bike, all that happens is the cardboard sliding back with her as we try to pull her onto it. Gave up and left her on the centerstand. Bike seems fine, and the floor is surprisingly unscathed. they are good stress relievers
