New Member/New Rider with few question

Hi Everyone, I recently got my motorcycle license and a 2011 Ninja 250r 2 weeks ago. I love my experience so far. I have

Few questions.

- I wish there was an gear indicator light, do you guys think this would work for the 250? Kawasaki Ninja 250R FI Only 2008-2012 Healtech Gipro DS

- Is putting on the Yoshimura Fender Eliminator kit hard to install ? Doesnt seem to bad. I did a few searches on how to do it, no luck. Are there any other cheaper good fender eliminator kits (i dont want to cut the stock one)?

- Is adding Yoshimura TRS Stainless/Stainless Slip-On something I should look into getting? Is it worth paying $380?

Thanks everyone?

Perhaps you should try riding the bike before you hack away at it.

Blunt is Jiggles sometimes but he is right. Ride the bike for a bit to make sure it's the right bike for you.

Your questions;
The gear indicator in your link says FI only. Since your location says MI I don't think it's gunna work on a carbed bike. There are some indicator mods if you search this site.

None of the fender kits are hard to install. Just take your time and read the instructions.

Most will say skip the slip on and go for a full system. But not this day.... once your sure the ninja is right for you, then swap exhaust as you see fit.

Enjoy and ride safe!

Ive driven about 250 miles so far! I love it. But you guys are right. I think I should ride more and get comfortable with it before doing mods.

One more question. Might be a dumb one though. When I press the rear brake, the brake light doesnt light up. Is that normal ?

Thanks !

Not normal sir, the use of either brake lever should activate the rear tail light.

If you use the search for that rear brake light, I remember a thread with someone havif the same problem. Another member posted a picture of the nut you have to tighten to increase the "sensitivity" of the pedal. But it's basically right above the rear brake pedal. It's a plastic piece of all thread and a plastic nut.

Personally as you first bike I would just do the fender eliminator"They are butt ugly" then ride it for the summer untouched. During the winter I would do a full exhaust system, I just put a slip-on on mine and wished I would have done the entire system. Another good add on is some new braided brakelines. Don't forget to rejet for the exhaust too.

Right now just enjoy the ride.
