2010 ninja 250 wont stay on!

Hi,

My bike wont stay on anymore. I ride almost every day, except for Jan-Feb of this year due to the snow/cold.

It rained pretty hard on Day 1 or Day 0.

Day 2,
Bike runs fine, idles fine, revs normally, It went to at least 8k rpm. (did not try riding it). I did see some water drip out from under the seat on the left side.

Day 3
It turned on and revs up to 3k rpm. when I twist the throttle more, it sputters and lowers rpm. Tried for few minutes, to see if it would go higher, since a cold bike would sometimes do that. Nope, it slowly got worse. The idle rpm kept dropping over time til it just stalls.

Day 4
No improvement; it turns on and idles really low, then stalls.

So what is going on? From the searching around forums, I think it's the carburetor. Either water in gas, maybe gummed up carburetor?

I added gas a day before the rain. So tank is at least half full.

Water will collect in the float bowls of the carbs. If you suspect water in the gas, it's best to just drain the entire system and start fresh.

are you using the choke and letting the bike warm up before turning the choke off?

It stalls with the choke on, after a few seconds.

Yea, water in the fuel. I was able to get away with just draining the bowls when this happened to me.

yes! after draining the bowls, it started!! it's still bogging a lil bit, but it went away after riding for a while. The fluid that came out was clear, so i guess it's clean? I think it happened because the drain next to it was clogged with dirt/bits of leaves? I wiped it off, but what can I pour down that drain to make sure it's clear and not clogged? Rubbing alcohol? Or should I use an air compressor to make sure it's clear, and then pour something.

Nice! Do a stabil treatment and run through that tank of gas as soon as your can.

Air gun on the compressor here to clear the drain/overflow.
