What's The Scariest/Fun Thing You've Done?

What's the scariest/most fun thing you've done at the track?

I think for me it's getting air over wheelie hill. I've only done it once, and it's terrifying yet exciting. Or maybe it's going down the front straight at 130MPH. That's pretty exciting! Especially since nearly every corner at NYST is blind and comes out of nowhere! @adouglas can probably attest to that

Riding in N.C. at night in the rain in the mountains. Never want to do it again, but will if I have to.

Oh god, this in CA combined with getting completely lost with no cell service and a dying battery, running out of gas. There was a point where I just got off the bike and sat there with my hand on the Mora I keep strapped to my backpack, waiting for either daytime or to fight a mountain lion. I eventually got back up and rode around some more, found a middle school in a rural area that happened to keep its WiFi unlocked and booted up google maps and found my way home. Not fun. Just scary. I don't like riding at night in rural areas anymore. Even if I know the way.

Riding on the interstate through St Louis in the rain with a heavy cross wind going around a bend towards the right on an incline next to an 18 wheeler...

Wide open throttle drifting the R1 at over 180mph through the final bank at daytona. Crazy fun and exhilarating at the time but scary as hell in retrospect. Racing the Macau GP on a 2002 R-71 with over 220hp back in 2003 when 200hp was unheard of.

Gridding up for sure, the exact moment would be passing two other racers on the inside while unintentionally backing it in to T5 at NJMP T-bolt

Going fifth gear pinned over a uphill double to have the bike go completely sideways, slow motion watching the two of you fall as you kick the bike away from yourself and bail.

Scariest was going down the straight and hit the brakes for the tight 180 right turn that was coming up and having the left clipon come completely off. Knowing I was not going to make the corner, and having to keep it upright and then brake to a standstill in the dirt using only the rear brake and holding on with one hand! Quite the pucker moment!

The most fun was track day at COTA on the GSXR-750

On a motorcycle it would have to be the time we got to take a 1999 Suzuki Hyabusa for a demo ride. Along with my 1997 CBR1100XX. To a long straight away in the desert with no speed limit. I saw 305 KPH on my Blackbird and 315 KPH on the Hyabusa. I'm sure there was plenty of error in the speedometer readings, but it was still very fast.

On the stock ninja Speedo, that would be like 240-250kph. Glad I have a Trail Tech Vapor.

YOLO, I would recommend tripping on acid at least once in your life.
Naked while arrested, no ID.. they were probably just trying to keep me from biting my tongue off.
Getting put in a mental institution without ID; at the time I thought it meant that they can just lock me in there forever, so I had to get out on my own... quick, before they figure out who I was.

BTW, I do have a CBR XX in my garage.. 310kph is probably 10-12% higher than actual speed... you run out of road really quick traveling that rate.

Isn't that textbook what they tell you what not to do before shipping out? I am still in the enlistment process, but mutiple of my friends have already gone through jobschool.

But if you commit a crime that prevents you from shipping out on time don't you go to Federal Prison?
