Tard Spotting

Starting something new, getting tired of all the ignorant drivers around here, so I'm putting them up on the internet when I get it on camera, gonna try to get their face in the video too, hopefully one day they'll see it and and go: "huh, I'm a douchebag"

first one:

Link to original page on YouTube.

it had to be a beamer for the first one too.

I would like to trade your polite-directional-indicative driver for any Floridian driver (who still has no idea what a directional light is).

Obviously this was the drivers fault for not noticing his surroundings but you were in his blind spot on a rather quiet bike and this stuff tends to happen to all of us unfortunately. Just out of curiosity, why do you have a small, stick-on mirror on your left mirror and not your right one?

i'm mostly in the right lane, and find that i need it more on the left side. I saw him inching over and flashed before hitting the horn. I usually refrain from using the horn and go with it, but from now on I'm letting them know when they're doing something wrong, with hopes they'll pay more attention.

and no, I didn't give him the finger, just pointed to the camera and did the "nuh unh unh" sign

Hang on you flashed him

In a lot of situations people will use flashing their lights to signal someone to take the right of way.

Same here. Houston full of illegal, inattentive, careless drivers. It's a warzone.

Yup.

I'd play too but I have an outdated cpu that can't handle video editing.

Why don't you stop being such a douche and let people merge. It was obvious from 10 seconds before he put his blinker on that he wanted to come into your lane. Show some common courtesy and maybe people will respect you back.

Kind of agree with jiggles here, while it did look like he was going to come over regardless of what you did you could have just backed off a bit, let him over and avoided the whole situation. Idiotic drivers do stupider stuff than this... really doesn't seem like that big of a deal and not worth the time and effort to record, edit and upload every time a driver does something that slightly irritates me.

Also getting up alongside a driver may enrage him/her if he/she has road rage. Not a smart thing to do on a motorcycle, you can angrily gesture at him all you want, they still outweigh you by a few thousand pounds at the very least.

I don't think the driver was really too far in the wrong here.

Had signal on, you flashed high beam (which is typically construed as a go-ahead), and he moved over at speed.

The safer riding technique would have been to assert your lane position by putting yourself in his field of vision, in front of his A pillar. Otherwise, give room and expect the worse.

Oh and I don't know if you have, but consider upgrading horns. I switched to hella supertones and scare the crap out of people who do stupid stuff like this. To be honest, it sounds like too much noise to come from a motorcycle. The stock horns are barely audible over 40 or so to cars in front of you, I've found.

I would've just rolled off the throttle a bit and let him have his space.

I'm pretty sure you didn't do a head check before going into the left lane to confront him.

By the way, if you're going to do any hand gestures at speed, use your left hand and not your right, unless you want to be engine braking and trust that the person behind you will be ready to react.

Let it gooooooooooo.

people do that kinda stuff everywhere you go. like someone else mentioned. he sped up to the open area in front of you in the left lane and slowed down. I could of paused the video right there and told you he was going to move into your lane. you need to assume that he's going to move over into your lane. part of riding safe. to put it bluntly, you were in the wrong.

i saw that coming when he would not pass the car in front of the bike.

the law of tonnage applies here.
"whomever has the heavier vessel has the right of way when signaled, in such case where its hard to discern weight or size, the vessel with the more maneuverability yields."

only issue i saw in the video was that you didn't take off and split traffic to get away from them and put a safe distance between you and them.

Although the BMW driver looks like Jiggles, this didn't happen in California.

Yeah I gotta say looked like he was coming over. I have a rule of thumb for stuff like that. If you have two cars in opposing lanes and they are staggered GTFO by accelerating hard or back off and always stay in the farthest left lane. I have avoided a lot of this by doing mentioned.

Everyone in Toronto sucks at driving but not as bad as Markham and Brampton. Cover your horn and clench your butthole in these areas.

indeed, try Houston as well. I have been pushed onto the emergency lane numerous time by dumb a$$es. At least she used her blinker, here only about 10% actually use their blinker. I sometimes wish I was surrounded in a bubble, then maybe I can use my sweet new helmet!
