So as it stands I think that KC is going to make it! You guys are going to have to talk to him about the valve thing, I think its a long process so probably wont happen in one day

I will be going out there tonight (just like last time) Does anyone else want to do the same thing? Makes it nice to not have to drive there in the heat lol

That's cool! Maybe Crissy and I can stop by to visit with everyone, see how a valve job's done, etc.

Attention ALL that need VALVE JOBS

This is coming straight from KC......and I quote..

"If your ninja is in need of a valve job....prepare to leave you bike in his garage for at least a day or two....he will also needs some funds ($40) to grab the oil, filter, coolant, sealant and parts needed to complete the job...you will be given receipts for the items purchased...or you can bring the needed items yourself...." Stop quote

KC did my valve job, oil change, coolant change, steering adjustement about a month ago and so far it is running perfect. He's also great with installing levers, brake pads, brake flush and I'm sure a lot of other things....I've put on over 1,100 miles since.

If you need more info...pm me your cell and I will text it to him

My unit got recalled and I have a 0600 formation in the morning... I would much rather be at a tech day with my fellow SCP crowd!!! I'll have to arrange with KC at another time to get my valve job.

Good luck to all and I hope to see lots of pics!!!

KC: Can I take my bike up there tonight to prepare for first thing tomorrow? I have work on Sunday evening and Monday morning. I'm sure that I need a valve job more than anyone* so I need to start planning right now. I have a jug of 50/50 premixed coolant, oil, filters, and o-rings but I did have a recent oil change with Rotella T6 and I'm not sure I need another so soon.

*past due for my third but only had one; planning to cross the country again in less than a month; almost at 25,000 miles.

My forks get rusty and need the tin foil and water treatment. Some prefer tin foil and Coke but testing shows water is just as effective.

He said next weekend for sure if you want to do it then??

He's kinda far away and I'd be putting more miles on my bike so maybe it's best that I sit this out?

Hee hee. Ask him if I can borrow his bike for a week and leave him with mine ( just kidding!).

We just got home from another awsome tech day. Got to meet 3 members for the first time which is always cool. Adrian is a super cool guy, Jett another cool member and our host for the day K.C. is another above and beyond great guy and host. Ken and crissy showed up and it's always good to see them. Honey badger had his bike in a million pieces as usual digging into those carbs lol. Lots of work got done on the bikes and I wish I could have stayed to go on the ride. Another great day and good time with good friends.

Thanks to all who went helped and hosted.

It was great to meet all of you guys/gals. Seeing the mods today made me order some shorty levers and a possible rear set..hahahahahaa.....

I think HoneyBadger got his arse kicked by those cards...LOL

Sorry I had to bail early but the twisties were a calling and I had to be home b4 I turned into a pumpkin.....all the way home I was wishing I had a corbin seat.

One thing ois for sure-KC did an awesome job hosting and opening his doors to the Ninjette biker gang- although he is no longer a member. I think by spending time with him today and vouching for his character- we should write a pm to Alex asking to reinstate KC. (discuss)

pics coming soon

PM Alex and state your case.

KC is a great guy- anytime someone needs something done...he's there. Yes he gets a little hot headed at times, but in the end...the nicest dude and I met him on Ninjette just like we've met others on this forum.....Jeff- it's like when you rescued alex.s.....friends helping out one another. Alex has his reasons and they are legit but everyone deserves another chance and being that we are vouching for his character...that says a lot.

I wish I could have gone; I really need to check my valves asap but thats a reaaaaaly long ride for me . I've had no problems so far but it sure would be reassuring to have an experienced hand here to help. Sounds like you all had a good time though.

We can stop the pity party for KC. In person he sounds like a great guy. But online almost every single post he puts up here has an attitude. He's apparently still annoyed we thought he was a dumbass for crashing last year when he was warned repeatedly that it was right around the corner the way he was describing his riding. In response to his perceived lack of sympathy, he not only deleted all of his posts and threads that he could, he also wiped every photo that he had ever linked to in the DIY's he had put together, that folks had come to rely on and got great value out of. It's just about the biggest FU message you can give to an online community, and your buddy KC was happy to do it. He should be apologizing to the board, the community owes him no apology.

After a long absence he chose to come back for whatever reason, and as long as he follows the T.O.S. we all agreed to, he remains as welcome here as anyone else. Yet he has absolutely zero tact. Not realizing that his attitude and those that it fosters are a key cause of us losing the one poster here who created more DIY's and more useful content in general than many of the rest of us combined, he couldn't even stay out of the thread where we were wondering what we could do to help Kkim change his mind, and I muted him for awhile so he would just shut the heck up.

His posts are once again visible on this site (there's that other chance, Adrian), but I have zero patience with him as a poster. He can follow the T.O.S. like everybody else (which includes respecting fellow posters), or he can be banned here and head over to any of the other ninjette boards that might be happy to have him.
