Bye Socal

9 years fly by. It's my last week in Socal. Got a sweeeet new job that's in downtown SF. Moving next week.

Excited for Laguna Seca, Thill and Sonoma !!! But I'll probably have to wait a couple more months to start tracking again

Congratulations on your new job! Lots of us Ninjetters here in the SF Bay area. Hopefully you can join us on a ride. You will definitely need a bike here if you commute through our wonderful traffic.

Holy goddamn commute. My commute 1 way to work is gonna be 50 miles...

We better hurry the f*ck up and buy a house with my bro. And it better be at least 25 miles closer to downtown.

@rasta Staying in Saratoga right now. I'll be here a few months till I can save up and help bro with downpayment. I tell him that but I think we both know it'll be to payoff some debt instead lol.

Rent a room in pleasant hill/walnut creek if you can. Actually I might have a place soon that you can rent in Pacifica which means no bridge toll and its 10 min away from sf downtown.

Depending on what you're into NorCal will blow SoCal away. Although the motorsports scene isn't nearly as strong as it is down south. But now its time to buy my ninjette, that thing was perfect when I was working in San Francisco.

whole point of being 50 miles away is not wasting money on rent anymore Thanks anyway though.

And I don't ride on street

That will fit right in the gay community of San Fran.

That means in a given year; you will spend roughly 42 days worth of time sitting in traffic.

You're not planning on driving all the way in and out each day, are you? Have to believe that Caltrain or even BART would be a better way to spend that time. Even if door-to-door time is similar, sitting on a train for an hour is 386% better than sitting in traffic.

no i won't drive. that'd be insane. and possibly take more time and 4x the money on gas.

I'll be driving 10 miles to Sunnyvale Station. Taking "baby bullet" to SF downtown and walking 20 mins.

Totaling like 1:50 to 2.

Also like I mentioned, this is not gonna go on for a year. If we end up not buying a house by June, I'll definitely move to Mill Valley or something and just rent.

Update: Started working. 4 hour per day commute is not too bad since they let me take my work laptop home. I even work on the train. I feel like it was a TRAP. I work like 14 hours a day right now.

Just catching up with stuff. I'm sure it'll be better...

Next trackday is no where near in sight I was so busy and fine with this situation until a$$hole Max posted an amazingly done Chuckwalla video by some guy named John... @Trailerboy531

Anyway.. Working in downtown is fun though. I love the city.

If you dont mind me asking, what is your new job? dont have to be real specific ofc. Only asking because i'll be 24 this year and still have absolutely no idea what i wanna do. Was also thinking of moving down south near the bay area to look for some work as well.

Cant imagine 4hrs round trip, thats insane. I used to get mad when i had to drive 45mins one way to a job site.

Honestly I was super spoiled back in LA. My commute was 5 mins one way. And I got to store my trailer / motorcycle in the closed gate garage and work on it over weekends or even during lunch time...

Anyway I work for CBS Interactive. Design / Animate for one of their internet companies
Train ride has become much, much easier since I started working on the train. I don't even realize how much time has passed. Almost missed my station a few times at night haha
