I got a Tour Master Magnum jacket from my Dad. My Mom got me a gift card to motorcycle superstore. Used it to get some heated grips, a Schampa balaclava, and a pair of A* winter socks.

Also used some other money to get a long sleeve Techwick middleweight crew from EMS. It is so cozy and warm!

^ good investment kevin

I bought myself a new chain and sprockets (14/47 instead of the OEM 14/45) since my chain has some wicked tight spots and needed slack adjusting often towards the end of the summer. This will get me the same speed vs RPM as a stock bike with my 130/90-16 rear. Once that tire wears out, I'll get Diablo scoots (130/80-16) and that will give me a little more zing out of the corners hopefully. I also got some spare o-rings for the uni-trak linkage so that I have replacements if needed when I service my swingarm and unitrak linkage

My baby doesn't *need* anything yet except for winter to take a flying leap and Santa has no control over the weather since the reindeer don't have issues with ice.
I did get some garage and other accessories:

At some kid's/teenager clothing store called Urban, ugly clothing but they have a hidden corner with cool gadgets! Santa bought the last two blue ones but if you can't find them, send me a PM and I'll get you a pair of the appropriately colour ninjas. I'm sure they'll be getting more in.

Can't, it's way too powerful. Did you see they wrote 4500cc on the side?

It's a transformer from the dollar store but after I Ninjette it, it will be a sleek and stylish 250cc. Maybe take it to the track then.
I'm going to use my printer to print my logos on some clear tape. Give it an overall Imperial Blue paint job and voila. I could use some pirellis on there too.

Which one? I'm trying to decide on which tinted visor to get for my K3. It's between the iridium blue or the standard smoked (I have the Gothic K3 in white).

Oh, and for Christmas I got the book Proficient Motorcycling by David L. Hough. Not a terribly sexy gift, but hopefully it will be useful .

I got me a nice to color matching rear seat cowl for my 2010 250r. Haven't had a chance to put it on or see if the colors really do match yet or not. Will get some pictures up once I get it on.

For all of you looking at the radar detectors I hate to burst your holiday bubble but a few key notes from someone who has worked on the other side of the situation.
first radar only picks up non-laser radar, almost all cities use laser. . .

second even if they use radar it only goes off when they have gotten your reading, not much need for know your about to be pulled over.

third they are triggered by a lot of other noise and background signals causing false positives.

Although this is just my opinion I do agree if they save you just one speeding ticket they are well worth it, even if it is just by luck that they do it.

i used to use a radar detector in my car. bike cops would always use laser, and it did detect it, well before i was anywhere close enough for them to get a good reading on me. of course this was only on the highway with lots of view... anywhere else its pretty useless. they constantly go off in the city... too much interference from automatic door openers

Christmas is year round for my little guy. He got a new set of sintered HH brake pads, new pirelli sport demons, a little extra oil, a new suction cup camera mount and a fuel injection kit (ordered). I haven't got the EFI kit yet, but we're hoping it comes soon.

My valentine one has saved me more tickets than I care to admit. Of course you have a point about laser and radar. CHP still uses radar though. A LOT. especially up here? Youre from sac so idk maybe its diff 60 miles south of me? but CHP always uses radar up here and they seem to rarely even turn it off. Ive been saved tons of time in socal though to driving back and forth from San Diego to El Centro. Id be going well over the speed limit, it go off, Id slow down to a legal or close to legal speed and boom a CHP unit would be behind the next bend. I bought that from a buddy for $100 and its literally saved me probably thousands of dollars on speeding tickets. Especially when I had my rice rocket, cops loved to pull me over in that...

Santa got me some Pirelli MT75s front and back, a new chain, and rivet link. Wooot! I also ordered some new main jets from ebay a few days before christmas, and they were delivered on saturday. Ironically, since it wasn't my turn to have my son for xmas, we did it saturday morning instead. So I got a nice present from the mailman. LOL

I've run radar on bikes for years, and yes, it can be helpful. What I've learned is that there isn't any visual alert that is guaranteed bright enough and noticeable enough to alert you in all cases. You need audio to the helmet one way or another. I missed several radar alerts years ago that were plain as day a few seconds after I should have noticed them near the gauges, and it cost me. The H.A.R.D. system is useful to put a wireless alert in your helmet, but it runs through batteries quite quickly and is challenging to mount in an area where it's easy to turn on and off without taking your helmet apart. I now have the alerts wired directly into my audio system in the helmet, and I never miss an alert the moment it comes through.

Detectors have been able to detect laser for many years, but it doesn't help us avoid tickets. But the time the detector sounds, the beam is already on your bike, and it's highly likely there is already a speed reading. CHP doesn't take potshots at 1000's of feet away, they only pull the trigger when you're already dead to rights, and the alert pretty much tells you when to pull over, nothing more.

I keep the V1 mounted on the RT and get good use out of it, but it's just another tool. Knowing where and when are good times to stay close to the limit, or stray away from the limit, will go much further in avoiding tickets on a bike (or in a car). I don't run radar on the ninjette or the ZX-10R, and only have a single ticket on them over the past 4 years (knock on wood).

Yeah, I've found the best detector is in your head. Also, my bike is flat black. No reflectivity. I think between that and the slim profile of the ninjette gives you a leg up on radar, since its harder for them to draw a bead on you. I went past a LEO doing 80+ and all they could get me for was my taillight was out. (To this day, I don't know how the molex came loose mid-ride as I always check my lihgts before I head out). That and my inadequate exhaust. LOL. Taillight was a fix-it ticket.
