Edit/futzed with flag

Is there like a window shortly after posting in which the 'last edit' info box is not applied? I ask because I occasionally get reply notifications via e-mail with the content of a post, then arrive at the website to find 1) the post is different than what I was emailed and 2) it's not listed as having been edited. It's odd.

I have noticed that too, seems like that window is .5h after the initial post but seems to extend if edits keep coming in. I am sure @Alex could shed some light here.

I have it set at an hour from when the post is first entered. I don't believe it gets extended past that if there are edits before the hour is up, but I don't remember testing it in quite awhile either. If I remember correctly, the default is just a minute or two, but I know some users do prefer to have a good amount of time to get things worded just right.

Count me in that group. I am always forgetting proper punctuation or words like "the", "and" and so on quite often. Other times I will add a sentence for clarity or add some emojis for fun.

I chalk it up to the brain being faster than the fingers.

EDIT: This shouldn't be in the email notification
Thanks for a the specifics Alex.

I propose for my unredeemed MOTM request: M'sOTM have unlimited time restrictions to edit. Wouldn't be the first time I woke up the next day regretting what I said!
