Dropped.

Uneven surface, held it up as long as I could, put it down as gently as I could, picked it up...and this. Does anyone know a person/place in the Bay Area who can fix this???? Please PM me or post on here. Thank you in advance.

Oi

You can attempt to fix it with abs cement or just get a new fairing

I think Jiggles is right, just replace the fairing. Any work you do to it will cost as much , if not more than replacing it.

I would but I don't know if I'll be able to find the EXACT same paint color to match the rest of the bike. This is an aftermarket paint job done by the previous owner

And if that doesn't work, then making it a different color might be one of your mods?

if he likes the color maybe he can contact the original owner and see what paint was used.

if it was candy paint then he has to use a new color...

Here's a thread that describes how to fix a fairing crack:

DIY: Fairing crack repair

This thread was linked from our main DIY sticky thread at the top of the tech section.

I'm not sure which way I'd go with your bike. I think that one way or another, you're going to need to repaint this fairing or it will always be very noticeable damage. If that's the case, getting a replacement fairing and then just painting everything might turn out to be more economical.

OK JUST CALLED THE PREVIOUS OWNER. He had purchased the bike from his friend's daughter who bought it from a dealership in Fresno, CA. He doesn't know for sure if she painted it or if she bought it already painted. He's going to call the owner before him and find out and get back to me. Hopefully she painted it on her own and remembers the exact color/brand of paint. If she bought it like that then I guess I'm screwed and am gonna have to try color matching the closest possible.

The thing is, I would buy a brand new fairing, but don't want to unless the paint matches 100%. Only reason I wouldn't buy a new fairing is if I can't match the paint and therefore can repair it as best as possible where it somewhat will blend in.

That sucks, hopefully you'll get the paint colour sorted but in the meantime, decals for both sides after a glue job?

I had similar damage on mine... Scum bag turn signals.

I just replaced my fairing and installed some flush mounts.

Looks totaled. Time to get a 300 (twice the HP, 3x the speed, half the price).

Another victim of the turn signals.

Good luck with the repair or paint if you get a new fairing. I like that color too.

yeah it seems to be the trend..
makes sense though..if it falls on its side there's minimal forces dragging the turn signal back..all the force goes straight into the bike, punching a hole through the fairing in the process..if the bike's moving forwards, the turn signal doesnt push as much into the fairing since it's getting pulled backwards against the pavement (while sliding). At least that's how I imagine it!

makes sense.
slipped at the stoplight and dropped= equal popped fairing
lay'er down at 35mph= scratched fairing.

physics is amazing.

Wow...I got super duper duper lucky when I dropped my bike and had what teeny barely noticeable not a scratch on any plastic damage I got! When they picked my bike back up I expected to see all of the above mentioned damage. I am so grateful.
