G'day From Perth Western Australia
G'day I just bought my first bike the other week I am currently going through the apparent midlife crisis and got my bike licence and started riding at the age of 38, Wish i had of done it a long time ago, After doing heaps of research the ninja is definately the way to go, the best 250 I tried out, instantly sold on it. I will post photo's when i figure it out, hopefully this thread.

Fuel vapour release
Don't you just love the way your bike cries when you walk past it, It is saying c'mon take me for a ride, i was told about the noise it makes releasing fuel vapour but man I was in tears with laughter when I heard it and my wife heard it and says "what is that" so I replied " Its my bike crying to be taken for a ride"lol

Don't know miles but 8500km's I may do some mods like fender eliminator but I don't want to get too overboard with that coz I may sell it in a year, Over here you have to ride up to 250cc for a year before you can ride a bigger bike, so I may upgrade to something bigger in a year, but that is a while away yet, I may decide to stay with my 250

to the community!!! You'd be suprised just how capable the 250R is... I've been riding mine a little over a year now and love everything about it. Once I do actually "upgrade" to a bigger bike, there is no way I'm selling my 250R... it's just way too much fun!!! Enjoy your stay here and ride safe

BTW some of the hills are quite big, I opened it up going down one of them and got to 100mph( I converted it myself) 160 kph and was still in 5th gear just under the red line, and that is completely stock.Black Ninja is the Dark Horse, Black sheep.lol

hey Pete, welcome brother! I noticed the vapor "cry" as well.
Also I am around your age and just bought my first bike a few months ago. Now all I can think about is riding! Enjoy!
