Thanks to Alex for helping me with some registration problems.

I just bought a second hand 2000 EX250-H, for the enticing price of $500.

Haven't been able to get it to run yet - so I will be frequenting the technical forum.

I have cleaned the carbs, replaced a blown 30A ignition fuse, cleaned the fuel tank, checked for spark, and recharged the battery.

Maybe find out what is wrong tomorrow.....

If I can get it to run, there will be a few cosmetic items to sort out and then send it off for a road worthy test.

That's a Ninja 250? What's with the big cosmetic difference between that and the US version? I mean, dang, that's a nice looking bike..

Trying to work out the history of the bike. Think it probably was imported from Japan.

I think Canada got the same bike too...

EX250-H - This model came to Canada as the Ninja 250R between 2000 and 2002, after which it received a new name: ZZR-250, in line with the -H model's name elsewhere in the world, where it had existed since 1992. This motorcycle has few parts in common with the -F model, though it shares the same engine, albeit with different casings. It sports a lateral aluminum frame, a different fairing (designed to make it look sportier), larger 17-inch wheels, an adjustable rear shock absorber, adjustable brake and clutch levers, a smaller drive sprocket, computer-controlled timing advance, and a revised electrical system.

After cleaning the carb and re-setting the valve timing I got it to run.

Need to sort out 101 little things, but pretty happy now.
