Revs
If the revs are to high on a bike can it cause it to overheat ?

Not likely revs will cause overheating. If your bike is overheating, inspect:
1. fan thermoswitch and fan. Sit next to bike and let it idle to warm up and does fan turn on when it starts to overheat? Measure all fuses 2. thermostat. Test in pot of water being heated to boiling. Does thermostat open at proper temperature (listed in manual). 3. radiator and coolant. When was last time coolant was flushed out and replaced? |

Is your bike really overheating or are you just watching the temp gauge climb as you rev the engine? Higher revs will create more heat and amplify any problems in the cooling system. High revs alone shouldn’t be an issue unless you’re WOT hanging in on limiter for a while.
