New helmet love

Finally, I no longer have to wear my hot BLACK Dual Sport helmet any more.
My wife got me this for my birthday! She rocks ( She's reading now... )

I got the one i have wanted since they redesigned them

AFX DS-39

I love the fit of the DS helmets, I have had my DS-37 for many years. I wear it on the wifes ninja, the cruiser, and of course the KLR as well!

Nice looking new helmet! Looks very high tech.

I like dual sport helmets. When I get a WR250R again I need to get one.

Yeah, well, the predecessor DS-37 is even louder!

Tomorrow is my first long trip with the 39, I'm excited for the "quiet" lol

I was thinking of getting one these for my winter commute. It's either this one or the G-Max. Let us know how you like it.

It's great, it's a bit cold for a winter helmet here, but I bet there it would be perfect. It's like it's an improvement on my favorite helmet (the FX-37DS) but still feels about the same, just quieter, and less effect of the wind from the peak

I got the hi-vis yellow version of the DS-39 for the dirt. It's comfortable, but I agree that it likely would be noisy at speed. The shield mechanism is quite cheap and plasticky, but I removed it all and will be using goggles with it anyway.

it's very quiet, considering the design and how "open" it is.

For the most part I have the sheild up, but when I hit the expressway it comes down.

Rode yesterday after changing the tires to the Shinko 705 and the everything was so much quieter. I'm glad I replaced my FX-37DS with this FX-39DS they really fixed pretty much everything that was a downfall of the old helmet, and I love my old one too!
