What do you say, Driving/riding song poll?

Lets throw out some songs that we like for driving/riding. So many songs yes it is tough, but I figure we could have a few different polls for a few categories like

Best cruising song
Best adrenaline pumping song
Best night time travel song
Best crash/accident song
Best instrumental riding song
Best riding with your girl song

I think it would be nice if we could at least have some context in the song about driving, cars, bikes, engines ect... but some exceptions can be made (obviously for instrumental ) There can be some overlap as well, like song A might be a good adrenaline song, but also a crash/accident song, got it?

I do listen to a somewhat broad range of music but my picks would still be bias so I think it would be nice if some people can chime in with some suggestions and then maybe pick 10 or so out of suggestions for particular category for a poll.

Who's in?

I am...

Ok I think we should start with adrenaline pumping songs cuz that is what sparked the idea.

So for adrenaline

a few that come to my mind just to throw out there

Kickstart my heart - Motely crue
Fuel - Metallica
Highway Star - Deep Purple
Ace of Spades - Motorhead <-- Motor in name of band
Radar Love - Gold Earring

I think that is a start for suggestions for the first poll.

Let me know what ya got?

It all depends on my mood and of course it's all subjective, so a poll doesn't really do much, imo. Also, you could just scour this thread http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=110123

^ ergo concordantly the different categories

And scouring a thread on "what was last song you listened to" does not seem to be the most productive way to go about it considering the last song I listened to was "Intro for Daniel Tigers Neighbor hood" Catch my drift?

I could definitely see that as a great night time travel song, but not so much for adrenaline pumping... which is what we are looking for right now. But we can put this song in the back pocket for when we get to that category most definitely.

alright, lets make this simple for the viewers and just throw any song out there for what ever category and I will sort through the mess later and put together all the polls at once. Awesome

(Subxero, wonders what the odds of anyone ready entire first post or this post actually are?)

Best crash song?

Meatloaf, Bat out of hell.

Never paid attention until I was on a bike, singing (badly) along, and sung the lyrics

Then I'm dying at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun.
Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike.

Had to back it up and really listen to what the story was telling.

Best cruising/adrenaline pumping song?

Been told its Telegraph Road by Dire Straits. Friend got busted doing 120 on his big bike after zoning out to the song and just going faster and faster at the end.

one of my favorite riding songs, it's not really an adrenaline pumping song but it works so well when I head out without a care in the world and find myself 1-3 states over.

Ah, see now i did read the entire post but read it to be "here are the categories" followed by what you thought were good examples of one category. Didn't realize you wanted us to stick with one category for awhile.

Vivaldi, "Winter" from the Four Seasons

For those of you with short attention spans, skip to about 1:05. Then imagine yourself on the twisties and/or blasting through a forest.

Also, most Bach. I'm particularly fond of the Brandenburg Concerto no. 3

I personally had to remove Fear Factory's DESCENT from my riding play list. I dare you to ride while listening to that and not wind up north of 150 mph. I did on my Ducati on the highway and I just kept rolling more and more on the throttle till I realized I was passing the Mile markers every few seconds (highway was pretty much empty) I looked down and it read over 150 and still climbing fast. That was it I took it off and haven't gone that fast since.

Sorry I am at work and cant post Youtube linky but anyone else feel free!

You must be really bored at work.

I did have a mix I would listen to on my MP3 Player. Some of it was dance type music. It seemed to fit with flying around on a bike. There may have been Flo Rida on there...I admit nothing.

Daniel Tiger rocks harder than Nickelback IMHO.
