Mirror fitment
Does anyone know if ZX10r mirrors will fit the 250r?
The idea is I am looking to eventually replace my mirrors with mirrors that have integrated turn signals. I know there have been people that have attempted to make some, and there was a cheapo ebay one a while back, but I am looking for something at = / > OEM quality with little to no modification.

I may have asked a technical question that the average person here wouldn't know unless they have tried or looked into it specifically themself.... so shifting gears a little:
What are the thoughts on this mirror set? They have been on ebay for a while, but it looks like the mounting is way more universal than it used to be. A rubber boot would be nice, as would more selection in available finishes, but my biggest question would be how effective acrylic mirrors are... any one know?

i'm actually quite interested in this, depends which mirrors you are referring to (fake, real, style, etc)...I like how the indicator is integrated on the 2011 ZX-10R Ninja. I have found some on eBay which are similar "KAWASAKI Ninja ZX6R ZX10R 636 INTEGRATED MIRRORS BLACK" - seems like this is the go since quote

oh just saw your post, personally , I don't like those particular mirrors but something along those lines would be great |

I agree, they aren't great, but moving in the right direction.

I had my eye on this just from a rough quick search (it is what i was describing). Similar to what you posted but I believe they look much better (and they are cheaper too)...all depends what look your going for though.
As for wiring, there leds, led's usually draw 20mA each so 18x20 = 360mA per mirror. I haven't checked the stock indicator relay specs but it may be possible to wire these into the stock wiring harness (if not, no big deal just buy 2 relays). Someone get some measurements ! |

I've found the exact same mirrors in a shiny exterior plastic and also a 'carbon fiber' version. Also found many similar mirrors with the same mounting style but the bolt space was non adjustable.
This is the exact same mirror with a shiny exterior, if you have a look at this link you can see what the mirror actually looks like. I mocked up this quick Photoshop comparison of the stock mirror compared to the 'eBay' mirror: In my opinion, I tend to look right where it curves in the corner part of the 'eBay' mirror (so this mirror would suite me better). Also get the added bonus of extra indicators which I seem to find other drivers don't notice when facing me...maybe because the stock signals are to far down and everyone looks for a face/eyes/helmet ? I e-mailed the seller of the link I posted asking if the mirror can be adjusted and what the mirror lense was made from...this is what he said: Quote:

IIRC, there were some posts with the origional ebay mirror that you posted.... I think they fit a bit funky and suffered from vibration. I liked the newer ones because there are "teeth" in the adjustment points to lock them down.

ahhh stuff it, after seeing this thread (http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=13997) i'm not going to bother replacing the mirrors.
Reason being that the led part on the mirror can't be seen that well and face down more then face forward. headshrink you're on your own ...good luck |

I was hoping the new bracket design, although not as attractive, would solve the pointing down, or orientation problem.

If you're interested in trying out the ones in the first link, the seller is D2Moto. They're located in City of Industry and you can buy from their site directly rather than ebay. They have a coupon code right now for 40% off. (ws40), so you can actually get those exact same mirrors for under $40.
