RAM on Steering Stem?

I'm working on a couple different solutions, but I wanted to check if one of these (pic to follow) mounts will fit on our bikes?

I don't think so, isn't that one designed for bikes with hollow steering stems? Ours is capped with the actual nut that you tighten.

I just use their standard u-bolt ram mount around the left handlebar, inboard of the left grip. Here's a link to pics of my GPS mount.

I just found this new RAM mount called the Motorcycle Twist and Tilt (RAM-B-360U). I mounted it to my left handlebar. See the pics attached. With the shortest arm they have, I can mount my Flip UltraHD just about where the center nut is. It's behind the windscreen so background noise is minimized. I'm trying to upload a video I took this morning to YouTube, if I'm successful I'll post a link.

FroggyGreenInSD: When you used that mount, you have to take the lower bolt out of the handle-bar mount right? Does the replacement bolt still hold the handle bar in position well? Does the kit come with a spacer or anything to fill the recessed space and hold the mount where it belongs, or does it just hold it together with pressure?

Thanks!

This is what you want to do for the ram mount:http://www.theyeagergroup.com/ninja_250_RAM_Mount.htm

Make sure you get (RAM part # RAM-B-349U) instead of the other one, otherwise you will have to rethread the hole on your motorcycle. it happened to me.

I installed it in my right side that way it will only cover the fuel gauge. After you install the one inch ball, the other pieces should fit with no problem.

Hope it helps.
