Aloha and welcome, Nicky.

Be careful with those screws on the carb tops. Hope you've read the warnings about them. It can turn a one hour job into something that can be a problem for days/weeks, if you strip them.

LOL...yeah we read them ... but unfortunatly we did strip them :/ But we got them out, had to run to the store to get new ones, but we're doing good now ... that's the hardest part of the whole thing we've noticed!!!! lol

welcome to the site .. you'll love the smooth feeling u get from the shimmed carbs.. while ur down there you should pull the kleen air system and snorkle off the airbox if your going to put the full area p on. both of those are on the site GL

Thanks everyone for the welcome

We finished last night doing the shimming and replacing the exhaust. I LOVE IT!!! It has soo much more pick up, and it sounds great. Although I dont think I want to go through shimming the needles again lol.

I wish I would of known this when I was down there lol. I think I'm okay for right now. Maybe if I feel the urge to take my bike apart again I will do it lol. The shimming part really got me down when doing this whole thing and was ready to put everything back together and get on the road

Yeah it would've made the whole process easier to just do it at once. the airbox snorkle can still be done without taking everything off.

Thanks for your advice Nate. If I feel up to it I might do it. Have you done it to your bike? I'm assuming so...
