New guy from Mobile, Alabama
Hi everyone. Glad to be here. This site is a little bit more organized than the other one I frequent.
Here is my bike. Maybe we can have a ride together. Have a good day. -Brandon |

Thanks everyone. And thanks Snake for the invite.
I actually bought the bike with the fender chopped. I didn't even know it was done until I started researching it. It also came with the SV650 rear spring. I wonder if that thing is adjustable? Sounds like something for me to check out. Current mods are... Asian Cycle C/F clear flush mount front turn signals. Whatever that tank protector is. I commonly ride to work in uniform (coast guard) and so I have to protect that part from my metal belt buckle. Fender chopped with integrated tail lights in the rear. Valvoline Syn Power Synthetic brake fluid. De stickerfied. Zero Gravity Double Bubble windshield. Custom "tribal" sanding on the upper fairing. Look at it in the pics. Sprayed the mufflers with a 2000º ceramic paint. Custom busted rear cargo net. I have it hose clamped on because two of the clips broke. lol. And a 15 tooth front sprocket is on it's way. I am a member of ninja250.org but damn, that site is a NIGHTMARE to navigate. I already LOVE this site. It has been laid down not once, not twice, but at least three times with one non moving drop. First time was by the previous owner and it resulted in a slight crack in the middle of the upper fairing and a busted turn signal that he replaced. Second drop was the still drop. The wife was learning how to ride and she came to a stop while leaning. Dropped it with minimal damage. The third one was a nasty one... Pam, my wife, was now past the begginer stage and was learning on the road. We took her out to the country roads with minimal traffic but still some turns that she had to learn how to lean in. Well, during one of those turns, a small dog came out and started to chase her. She spazzed and gripped the front brake hard, while in the turn still. The bike threw her down on her right side and promptly destroyed her left wrist. The bike was beat up pretty good but it was ok. The ****** part of this was, when she went down her wallet came out of her pocket and someone picked it up and prompty started swiping it everywhere. Luckily enough, all of the credit cards and such caught on quickly and we caught it ourself the next day. They actually accused us of it and it happened while the wife was in surgery. Here is a pic. She still rides, but she is really scared. My plans are to get another bike soon, actually looking at an 04 SV650 for me. And maybe I can ride with her to get her more comfortable. The final drop was me. I did a low speed drop. I was looking left while coming to a stop so I can merge into traffic. The front tire hit some REALLY loose gravel that I didn't see thanks to me watching for traffic and I went down at about 5mph. BTW, me and the wife have both had the MSF course and we both always wear our gear. I may be looking like a fool with my jeans, boots, and full textile jacket, but I'll be happy when the retard in front of me cuts me off and I skid across the concrete with minimal damage. I watched a damn fool on the interstate the other day wearing tennis shoes, khaki pants and a damn no sleeve wife beater! At least he had a helmet. ATGATT. Damn, I just gave everyone my life story didn't I? Hope I didn't keep you too long. -Brandon |

Aloha and welcome, Brandon.
Great to have you here to become a part of our little group. Invite the wife to join and share her side of the stories. Perhaps she'll find comfort knowing she's not alone. There are a number of husband and wives posting. mahalo |

Welcome to the board, neighbor. I'm about an hour and a half away from you so hit me up for a ride sometime. Your right about ninja250.org - lots of good info but terrible to navigate.
