EXO 1000s FOR $99!!!

What a deal! I have two of these helmets and they are ****ing awesome. If you need a helmet or even a spare this is a fantastic option

Picked one up for 109.90 total, I'll be surprised if is ships though. It's worth a shot. Most colors were out of XL, grabbed a light silver.

I've been wanting a new helmet; I currently have an HJC CL-15 and it's pretty comfortable, but it has many issues with the visor and ventilation. I thought about getting a scorpion but the ones I've tried on (exo500 and exo700) weren't very comfortable. They both had pressure points right around the ears that just didn't feel right.

For $99 it's really temping to just pick up a exo1000. Have you had any experience with the 500's or 700's? I'm curious to know if they have the same kind of fit/feel to them.

I've had a 700 for about 13k miles, I LOVE IT. I bought a 1000 during one of their other sales, but for some reason I didn't like the fit as much as my 700. Also, I thought the flip down sun visor was quite useless.

No clue about how it compares to other scorpions and the flip down visor is nice if you put a darker tint on it

I'll try to get into the dealership this weekend when I'm home and try one on. I have a small EXO400 and want to see how the EXO1000 compares in size/shape. $100 is a great price. I hope it fits right. That helmet looks great in silver. Especially if I get a white jacket/leathers this winter

I won't buy a helmet without trying it on.

If you intend to use the sun visor definitely get the darker tinted one. The stock one hardly counts as a sun visor

How is the ventilation on these helmets? I like large front and top vents. It gets very hot here and you need lots of airflow.

Booo, just spent a lot of money, otherwise I'd grab one...maybe they'll be available next paycheck.

Anyone know how they fit, small/large, etc?

The sizing chart is the same as Bell, which I have a Vortex now & after it broke in it fits great.

A large EXO1000 is lighter than my small EXO400. Seems like an improvement to me.

hahahaha jk, They do get heavy at the track (wind and such) and on long rides. The pump air bladder is nice and the flip down sun visor will scratch so easily. Airflow leaves something to be desired.

Still worth the $99 for the great fit and other features.

In for one.
Would have preferred the matte black, but went with the dark silver.

i had a 1000 for a while. the flip down visor is nice for night time. the air pump... i dont think i touched it once it was adjusted to my head. until one day it popped. it was hardly pumped up anyway so i didnt really miss it. it was noticeably heavy though compared to other helmets ive worn (shoei, hjc). for a street helmet that you aren't going to wear for long periods of time, or for a pillion lid, its a great deal. but if you are going to wear it for extended periods, or if you are going to be throwing your body around, i would say get something lighter.

i have crashed one of them and it held up pretty well. the plastic shell is surprisingly soft compared to other helmets. i wouldnt trust it for high speed crashes

I got mine yesterday. I ordered it Monday night. Quick shipping is nice!! $109 for an exo1000 that got delivered in 2 days? nice!

The fit of the small is identical to that of the EXO400 in a size small. Mine came with the chin curtain thing as well! is that how they all are?

I'm a big fan of the exo-1000, and it looks like they still have some left in my size in dark silver. Thanks for the heads up jiggles.

I also bought a EXO-1000 when they were on closeout from STG. It was my first lid and I enjoyed using it although I did notice a weight and ventilation difference when I switched to my Shoei RF-1100. I liked the air bladder system and anti-fog shield.

I do keep it as a spare helmet.

I grabbed one from stg about a month and a half ago. Great helmet for $99. I do have an issue with mine though. Every time I take the helmet off, about half of the neck roll comes out of the helmet. Scorpion thinks the liner that holds the neck roll in is defective so they gave me a return authorization number. Ill let you guys know how it goes.

yea it basically says press both sides inward with the visor in the open position. I duno, it might just be me.
I had trouble at the start switching them on my 707 too but got the hang of it by the second or third week.

Do you mean the standard visor or the flip down sun visor?

Uhh, you twist and it pops out. You don't "push down." Edit: Oh. You mean putting the replacement on. Well, it is a bit more awkward. I had one of the twist covers pop off once. Don't force anything.
