oh dear Kevin, asking about oil or tires is like opening a jar of farts. You just never know what your gunna get. lol

To answer your question though, you will find that a lot of us run Rotella T6 full synthetic in our 250's. To each their own though as long as it meets specs.

+1 on olive oil. I add a quarter stick of margarine to get that tranny feeling buttery smooth.

Castrol 10w-40 full synthetic. Honestly, the full synthetic part is probably more important than most everything else within reason. The Shell rotella t6 is good stuff, but only if you get the full synthetic stuff. They actually make two kinds. The non-synthetic stuff says "heavy duty" and should not be used.

In our bikes the tolerance is measured in microns. In a car, its measured in 100ths of inches. That's a huge difference. So we need full synthetic to give our engines the best chance for survival.

I've heard good things about Rotella T6, but recently I put in Mobil 1 10W-40 full synthetic, mainly because they were out of the T6 and I was too lazy to go somewhere else. I really want to try Royal Purple too, because seriously, it's purple!

Doesn't Castrol make most of this stuff and it's just rebranded as something else?
