Some my be surprised by what interesting things with legs and some without, lol finds it's way into Ky.

This was some odd years back but a snowy owl was photographed just 8 miles from my home. Super rare round these parts.... but had the bird watchers straight trippin' for about 2 weeks trying to get close enough for the money shot of the bird sitting on a solo pole in the middle of a field.

http://www.ibiblio.org/pardo/birds/a.../msg00529.html

Oh, I followed this closely because, as some of you know. I have been attacked by owls 3 times in my life. They hate me for some reason. So any time there is an owl spotting, I figger it's just my luck that I would get attacked again.

Yep, it's their nest. Human's should steer clear unless well protected.

In other news....

rip Mike. He crashed not far from my house and after a battle long fought, he is finally relieved of duty and can relax in paradise.

He will be missed. -1 hand shaken.

That sucks, but don't go subtracting handshakes.

Every one counts, no matter how long they are part of your life or this world. Just because someone moves on doesn't mean their deeds are undone. The impact they on your life continues as long as you remember them.

*scratches out that minus*

Thanks Teri, this year has had many ups and downs. I am kinda honestly ready for it to be over, but there is so much that has happened to recollect on. I fear the full effect has not set in yet but glad yins are there for me.

Thanks ya'lls.

RIP

I'm with Teri, death does not undo one's deeds. Subtracting his handshake is similar to denying his memory.

On a side note, I don't have any owls by me. You are welcome to my neck of the woods owl free, guaranteed.

Edit: my mom has issues with owls attacking her too.

Holy ****, I can't stop looking at that picture!!!

I've posted this here before I think, but this was a rare encounter with a Barred Owl...I ran into him twice in one day and spent an incredible half hour with him only feet away. Pretty meaningful experience.

If you put on 5 or 6 pairs of 3D glasses, you can see 1000 faces and 1 million hands.

And you might just burn out your retinas.
And... I love to embarrass my kids.

I hope I do too, I don't get sick often, as in once every 3-5 years or so, but when I do it sucks

those jokes remind me of a surgeon I met once who had a sense of humor. His patient, older bro's friend, asked him if he would be able to play guitar after surgery on his hand and he responded with "well, I'm not really sure. You see that depends on whether or not you were able to play guitar before your accident and I simply have no way of knowing that."

Um, I've heard of breaking boards and bricks, but trying to break steel?

I was going to try to find some Confucius sounding philosphy regarding the steel vs foot, but instead found something I find hysterical.

(disclaimer, I try to let others have their own beliefs as long as they do not interfer with mine. Live and let live. But when someone comes along and tries wedging one belief into the framework of another and forcing new terms onto old concepts to make it fit, I can't help but laugh.)

And does anyone else find this page of the thread bringing on a smile due to the beautiful snowy owl that loads at the top?

I am caught... I was trying out for the Power Team!!!

Hahahahahhaha no, I am kidding. I had a chair near while I was kicking to force me to keep my leg high. After the 50th or so kick, I failed to hold up my leg... and kicked the chair. When you are 3rd degree, failure is meet by a stiff punishment. hahahahahahah Self inflicted of course.

It's always classes like this where I get hurt. When I separated my shoulder, we were dive jumping an 8ft folding table, LONG WAYS.... and rolling on the mat on the other side. I did it all ninja like the first 6 or 7 times, but that last time I looked more like a lawn dart.

Okay, that makes sense. Though lay a pad on it next time.

Ever notice how its always the "last time" you get hurt. I they to stop whole I am a head, but it happens.
Heal fast so you can continue to improve.... didn't you just heal up from the belt test?

It takes a lot to keep doing things that hurt, even when you know it will make you stronger.
