hello from Indiana

Hello, great forum you got here. i've been a rider for al ong time but have been without a bike for years. a couple summers ago when gas hit over $3.50 i called the wife from work and told her i would be heading to my kawasaki dealer that afternoon to buy a ninja 250. my salesman told me they had just pulled a red 2007 off the truck and the guy who ordered it had to back out, so i said "sold!" right then and there. i couldn't be happier with it. at the time i had a 1986 ninja 1000R in my garage that was sitting for a few years. a friend of mine needed money real bad so i got it dirt cheap mainly just to help him out. that bike always scared me, it was way too heavy for me in my opinion, even though it fit quite nicely. i never ended up doing anything with it, and eventually sold it for more than i paid, so i was happy at that. i love my 250, great bike for commuting to work or just cruising the indiana country roads. i was very happy to find this forum full of others who shared my passion.
very soon i'll be buying a yamaha V-max, partly because i've wanted one since 1985, but mostly so the wife and I can go cruising on it and i can still have somce power under my butt when she's not with me. anyways, great forum you got here, i've already found tons of great info.

nope, but boy i wish, george lucas would owe me some royalties! i was born before star wars came out, so i think i'd think they'd owe me some coin.

im in anderson, which is about 30 miles northeast of indy.
do photobucket links not work here? im trying to slap up a pic but when i preview it gives me the old photobucket has deleted blah blah blah messege. my bike is just the standard bone stock red 2007 anyway.

I'm in Georgetown, IN... Not too far from those areas either.

I ride with a local group, www.louisville-sportbikes.com. Lots of great people... there's always a ride going if the weather is cooperating.

Photobucket pics should work here, but often after they work for a week or two the message goes up about bandwidth being exceeded and it shows the error message instead of the pic. You can always use the built-in picture gallery features on this site if you like. More info here.

cool, thanks for the info. it might have been me, i've had a weird day lol. you'd think i'd know how to do pics, i've been a moderator on one of the largest tech forums in the world for about 7 years now (afterdawn.com)
