Hello from Colorado!

Greetings!

Ryan is my name, I am 22 years old residing in Colorado. When I was younger I spectated a few motorcycle races, dirt and street, based on those experiences I have wanted a motorcycle since.

One day the urge set in, the search for motorcycles began along with related costs and requirements to ride them etc. I discovered several motorcycle Vlogs and the ABATE site. After watching several Vloggers and visiting sites like Mordeth13 and Ninja250.org I decided that it was time to take the next step. Coincidentally my mother, going through a midlife crisis of some sort, wanted one as well. So after several weeks of researching and visiting local shops the trigger was pulled. We signed up to attend the ABATE/MSF course, then passed with flying colors. Upon completing the course my mum set out to buy a new bike immediately, whereas I decided to buy used as it was my first bike.

I watched craigslist like a hawk for a week and a half before finding the right one. I arrived late one night went to bed but not before I made my daily check for bikes. What luck! I found a seller posting his bike for sale not but one hour before. I shot off an email as fast as my fingers would let me type: called the guy first thing in the morning to set up a viewing. After looking it over and a few pictures taken the bike was sold. An aesthetically flawless 2004 EX-250 with a hair over 3000 miles on her was now mine.

I've owned the bike for several weeks now and love every moment that I sit on it.

I hope my story didnt bore you to death.

Good luck! Its awesome that your mom can ride with you too.. I dont trust my mom in a car let alone a motorcycle!

Unfortunately not, I tried to convince her but she was determined to get the Yamaha Vstar 650 custom.

We tried to have our first ride this past weekend but it was ruined by absent minded people.

Welcome. What part of Colorado you from. I've along the front Range for along time. Started in Pueblo and ended up in Greeley. There's a few members in the state.

Im in Westminster/Broomfield a few blocks south of the Jeffco Airport. I'd love to meet up with some local 250 riders, I see quite a few 250's on my commute home when heading north on Wadsworth.
