Hi from DFW!
New guy here from North TX (DFW). I bought my '09 250 this spring after taking the MSF course in February, but I didn't ride during the summer because of the heat... I'm just now getting back into regular riding. Really glad to be registered here, the DIY threads have been great...

Yeah I know... I'm ATGATT and I didn't want the extra distraction while I was trying to learn how to ride in the real world. I had a minor encounter with a curb on my 3rd time out with the bike which required some repairs, and by the time I got the parts to fix the bike it was in the upper 90s and I decided to wait out the worst of the heat. Next year I'll be all right.

welcome...I know all about riding in the heat. It gets very warm here in SoFla. You just have to hope that you arent stopped at the lights for very long, lol. Ride safe and always wear a helmet
