Please help, oil in air box.
I was taking my air box out of my bike and noticed that there was a bunch of oil in the bottom of the box. It was coming up through the little rubber hose attached at the bottom that leads into the where the oil is. Is this a breather for the oil sump? Why is this happening?

It is part of the crankcase ventilation system. The intake creates a vacuum and pulls the oil vapors from the crankcase. Overtime the vapor condensates and deposits at the bottom the airbox. I am not quite familiar with the older ninja 250s but I would imagine there be a drain. Excess amount of oil could be due to over oiling the air filter, overfilling the crankcase, or from tipping the bike over. Also doing wheelies will do it too.

Why? Did you recently change your oil or add oil? Could be slightly overfilled.
