If I dood it, I get a whippin'

I dood it!

Link to original page on YouTube.

Signed the papers on this:

Yes, you see correctly. A new, zero miles, leftover GSXR750, $9499 OTD. And zero percent financing for five years.

How could I resist that?

The only thing is, it OOZES squidliness. I'll have to do something about that. Maybe take the stickers off or something.

My 08 has to go, sadly. I've got enough room in the garage for two bikes, but there isn't enough room in my marriage for two bikes.

I'll stick around here, I think. I like the funk of this joint. You people seem more intelligent than those on the gixxer fora.

Enjoy it! I'm tempted by the GSX-R myself, a little more power would be nice

Oozes squid?

Don't worry about the squid thing. Just enjoy your bike. The magazine comparisons always like the 750. Judging by how long it's been in production, Suzuki has to be doing something right with it.

gratz on the new bike Andrew! Be sure to stick around.

Great deal and 0% for 5years! That's unheard of in the motorcycle industry. Tell your wife the 250 is for her. It sure would make a nice Christmas present. Enjoy your new bike and certainly stick around here

Gotta post up pics, not a Suzuki guy but the more intelligent people out riding them, the better. Congrats and keep the rubber side down.

Relax, the 750 is the only non-squid GSXR.

Don't hate the playa, hate da game yo. lol

All kidding aside though, one of my best friends rides a 2011 gsxr 750, orange and black colors. It's a kick ass bike, we both like it. I take him on corner exit most of the time on my R6 but he gets me down the back straight. It's always a fun battle. He didn't get the deal you would be getting. He paid 11k cash money.

Grats on the bike man. Don't see how it oozes squidliness though. While I associate GSXRs with squids, that's more because squids tend to ride GSXRs...not because of the bike itself.

Brought it home today.

GREAT

GOOGLY

MOOGLY!

This thing is unreal!

I'm pretty sure I saw the scenery in front of me blue-shifted just a bit.

It is all I'd hoped for in the power delivery department. I'm very used to winding up the Ninjette to make it go… not losing momentum and all that good stuff.

From my perspective, there are now gobs of torque everywhere. There's so much of it that it almost doesn't matter what gear you're in. Just ask it to go and it goes… like a greyhound with a cattle prod up its butt.

I know a lot of that is the novelty of having four or five times the horsepower and torque on tap, but still… it's giggle-inducing.

The bike feels as small and light as the Ninjette. In fact, it almost seems smaller, because evidently I'm sitting a bit farther forward.

Giggle-inducing. That's a good way to describe it. Getting any thoughts of, "OMG I own this thing??!!?!?!" yet? They're oodles of fun.

As for feeling small and light, I think that's a case of the ergonomics being meant for someone your size. I think I've mentioned this before, but you and I are both in the target rider size that supersport bikes were designed around. Everything feels like it's exactly where it should be because well, it is.

Enjoy the new steed. Gratz again on a great deal on a bike you've been wanting.

Hah. Yes, I had that exact thought as I put it away.

What boggles me even more is that this machine can outperform a Ferrari, cost less than ten grand to buy, costs half what my car does to insure and gets better gas mileage to boot. That's amazing.

I think you're right about the ergonomics. I chose this bike in large part because it fits me perfectly.

Congrats and welcome to the squid club! I don't know if you've looked around but gixxer.com is, in my opinion, better and less squidlier (?) than gsxr.com. Enjoy the 750, it's a good looking bike.

Patience, Grasshopper.

The GSXR is my first-ever new motorcycle and my first really nice bike.

I'm 54 and now (barely) have the discretionary income to buy a toy like this.

Just feed that piggy bank. It will come.
