What do you thinks happen if someone drops and crashes the bikes, I mean they're letting people ride the zx-10 and zx-14. I just see something happening. But YES I'm going to the one in San Mateo.

They might take your insurance information before you ride. That's what the Ducati/Triumph/Victory dealership does for their test rides. That dealership also asks what you are currently riding and your experience level and won't let you ride a bike that is too big for you. It's possible that they will do same thing.

I should check my insurance and make sure demo rides are covered. Last thing I want is paying for a mishap.

Signed up for the San Diego event. Not sure why the address listed says San Mateo though? Scottish Rite center is in Mission Valley.

Yup, if you click the link it takes you to their website which has an Event schedule. Only Ohio event I saw was in July 22-24 in Lexington.

Well you know if my boy Dustin is going with his stock 09 decals I have to go and show off my 09 monster edition. so count me in for the SD and LA demos! I'll be rolling out of the south bay so anyone in the LA/LBC area that wants to ride down to sd together hit me up!

Hey anyone who goes to this would you please post up and give me the jist of what that waiver entails? If it involves my insurance covering any oops moments I'd really rather not pay for that. But if it's just a liability release form, I plan on attending this when it comes to Ohio.

Let me tell you... this thing was AWESOME!!!! So I got there at 9 because neither the website or the confirmation e-mail they sent mentioned a start time and there was no contact information... so I guessed. Unfortunately they started taking reservations for bikes at 7 and riding at 8.

Basically, the way it worked was you sign a release of liability form (I didn't read the details... was too excited), they scanned your drivers license. Then you signed up for the bikes you wanted to ride. They had 3 groups of bikes, a cruiser group, a sportbike group and the misc group (at least thats what I'd call it) and they had 2 reps that would lead/follow you on a group ride for about 35-40 minutes. It was a pretty sweet route that they set up with some freeway (to open them up) and some hills and a little in town.

Anyway, because I had gotten there 2 hours late a lot of the spots had already been filled for the 2 bikes I really wanted to ride (ZX-6R and ZX-10R) so the soonest I could get either was 12 and 2:45. So now I had 3 hours to burn and they would only let you reserve 2 bikes at a time, however, if someone didn't reserve a bike you could jump in once they were ready to go. Not very many people reserved the cruisers so while I waited I rode the Vulcan® 1700 Nomad™, then I rode the Vulcan® 900 Custom... the Nomad is a huge bike and I really hadn't ridden a cruiser before. At first I felt like I had to muscle it around especially at low speeds... but once I got used to how it felt it rode like a car. Had plenty of power but wasn't the same kinda fun you get out of a sportbike. The 900 Custom was a little more fun as it is lighter and easier to manuever... but it's still a cruiser.

Then it was time for the real reason I came... ZX-6R time!!! That bike is a lot of fun to ride... all kinds of power in any gear... I never even really needed to get out of 4th gear and we got up to freeway speeds (and maybe a little more ) I did however feel a little cramped on this bike that was my only gripe about it.

Then I had a break until I could ride the ZX-10R so I waited to see what was available and I got to ride the Ninja 1000. This is a fun bike as well... all kinds of power, very nimble... but... it's a very upright bike and I felt very tall on this bike, to the point of being akward.

Then it was time for the ZX-10R ride... I gotta admit that I was a little intimidated by it at first especially after all the hype thats been made about it's power. This bike is AMAZING!!!! I loved everything about it... especially the rush you get when you romp on the throttle!!! I was definitely not cramped and everything rode so smoothly... it was like driving a Ferrari!!! This is definitely going to be my next bike!!!

So, if you still get a chance to hit one of these up I highly recommend it!!! I actually ended up riding the ZX-10R twice because somehow the ride after mine noone was there to ride it so I jumped right back on!!! I still want to ride the ZX-14... so maybe that'll be when I go to LA!!!

I think my ride is going to take close to 2 hrs... I'll do the research tomorrow. That being said, for me to get there by 0700... I will probably leave home around 0500 and be heading up the 5. I'm meating Kevin at the Wendy's in Tustin. Just let me know.
