Smile It's been 6 years but I'm back!!

I taught myself how to ride 8 years ago and back then I started out on a Honda Rebel 250 which was a great starter bike at the time. I did grow out of it quickly and I moved up to a Honda Shadow 600. I had a great time riding but had to stop once I became pregnant with my second child. Well 6 years and 3 girls later... I'm back! But this time I wanted to get a bike that I felt fit me better. I'm short at only 5ft tall and I have little options in the way of a bike. I could have easily gone back to my last two bikes but the Rebel was just not powerful enough to do any fun riding (not to mention it looks rather dorky, lol) and the Shawdow is just too bulky and frankly not my style. When I first saw the Ninja 250 a couple of months ago I instantly fell in love. After some time and searching I found a 2009 EX250J Black Metallic in my area for sale. It even had some of the changes already done to it that I would have done anyway. Two Brothers exhaust, Corbin seat and fairing guards. I was concerned that I would still have to lower it 1-2" due to my short frame. Good news is... I purchased it this past Friday and I have been riding it all over since! No need to lower the bike, I can handle the height just fine. Backing it up is a little tricky but I just need to try to stay away from situations where I need to back it up.
Overall... the 250 Ninja is the PERFECT bike for me! It's small and lightweight and still has great power to keep up with her bigger brothers!! I'm so happy and I can't wait to get home from work and take her out again!!

Thanks!!! And I'll admit I don't have the balls to get on 76 yet. LOL. I don't even like that highway in my car.

You guys should put up a SE PA ride in August. There are some good roads stretching from Exton PA down to and around Kennett Square.

Red face Thanks everyone!!

Much appreciated!
It's been a week now and I've had it out on the roads as much as possible. It certainly didn't take me long to get back into the swing of it. Now that I own a bike again I'm going to sign up for the advanced riders course so I can learn some more. I took the riders course before and got my license that way and I really enjoyed the class.
