Hole in the engine?

I was curious to as what this is and why it is here. (The little hole in between the two lines on the engine) If you want I can upload a pic of a red circle around it.)

It's a weep hole for the spark plugs if I remember right. On the 08+ the weeps holes are located under the exhaust ports.

What kind of fuel filter is that? It looks like one made for EFI bikes.

I had a feeling someone was going to ask about it lol.

I lost the packaging and receipt for it. But I think it is just a Duralast fuel filter. I wanted a clear one, but autozone didn't have any clear ones so I just settled for this one. It seems to be doing the job though.

Often when you start the bike you will see a little spider come out and abseil down the side of the engine.

Autozone didn't have the clear ones? Did you try the lawn mower section? Hopefully they were sold out or something CUZ then they shouldn't be called autozone anymore haha.

Man, you won't believe the crap I had to go through to get it too.

I had tried Advanced auto, walmart, bennys, home depot, and ace hardware. And to my surprise Auto zone was the only place that even had a filter. (I asked an employee every store to help me find one and no one could find it lol) I specifically asked for the clear at autozone, and they did have one but it was friggin huge. Like.. stupid big. So I just settled with this one. Seems to do the trick, I'll just replace it in a year with hopefully a clear one. lol

Your bike is going to esplode.

Benefit of the clear filter: when you winterize/drain/store your bike, you can see if your petcock is leaking. Also, when you suck on the vacuum nipple to fill the carb bowls, you can see when the flow stops and the bowls are filled. Takes much less time than you'd think.
