5/15/2011 Socal ride Tujunga Canyon

So a friend a mine has an S2000, and told me about the big event that is happening this sunday at Tujunga Canyon. I'm thinking about going, and I'm guessing more bikers are going to go What do you guys think? Its a really long ride, almost 90 miles. Does anyone else want to go? I probably wont go unless a fellow ninjette rider comes along

Edit:

heres a website that shows a little more of the roads

I would double check the roads, last i heard 9 mile was closed due to the tar melting late last week and i don't know if they got it fixed. They closed it on the 5th and i dont know how fast cal trans is working on it.

it has also been pretty windy so watch for rocks in the road and for water on the blind turns, there is still snow up there and it is melting and making the roads wet last i heard. Again i am not 100%. I do know that after newcombs you can only go up about anohter 20 miles or so then the road is closed.

With all that said i would go but i cant ride all days on sundays lol. Great ride though. I Love those roads.

ACH is no joke man and those are the things you have to deal with up there. Its a good ride and fun ride as long as you watch your speed and take it slow the first few times. My general rule of thumb up there is no more then double the posted limit on the turn. That keeps it fun and safe for me. others go much faster though lol. It should be a good ride and lots of fun just be mindful of the road and its conditions.

That or Palomar... how many times have you been up Palomar? Obviously thats more challenging than Ortega... however, Ortega we could always stop at Hell's Kitchen... man that burrito was HUGE!!!!

I went to palomar once rode up and down a few times, my only issue with it is it's a long ass ride to get there an out of the 6 times I went up and down I was stuck behind cars 6 times lol.

I have not been to helps kitchen to eat yet so up to you. Give me a time and a place and I'll be there.

Well, need to clear things through the wife... remember, I'm "whipped" (although she lets me get pretty much anything I want)... here's proof:

I'll see, of course I'm still curious as to what's up for the tech day... especially since I now have that little baby waiting for install

Well I was thinking just swapping it for you at the Tech Day... but I guess if you want it sooner than that I could always run with the stock exhaust. I didn't want to throw on my Yoshi until I can rejet which I planned to do at the tech day

NO worries man, while you are in Torrance head down to the beach area, pch and like ave b in redondo has an elburrito jr, there is also one at hawthore and Torrance blvd. Bomb ass burittos!

Oh sixxer looks like we may not ride Ortega, Cindy sent a pm about a ride so we are goon to take pch from Lakewood and have lunch at the counter in Newport, after that we may ride Ortega or just head down the coast some more, it will he up to her, you are more then welcome to ride with us or just meet us for lunch and ride after that if you want.
