Received Goods! Alpinestars SMX-PLUS

Just got here like 30 minutes ago. WHATS in the BOX?!!

Alpinestars!!

SMX PLUS!!

Im actually wearing them right now testing comfort and fit. They feel excellent, the overall shoe has a Nike Hyperflight feel to it, meaning, very light and comfy. The inner booty system is pretty sweet also and allows you to slip in and out of the boot very easily, this coupled with the fast lace system and call it a day. The fast lace system is a plus, however, the length could have been shorter.

The ratchet system that allows you to adjust for calf size with pant is pretty smooth. No real issues, my concern is only that it looks like an item that will take quite a beatin just from adjusting it too many times. Time will tell i suppose.

Other than that, Happy Veterans Day!!

Very nice boots. If you don't mind me asking, how much did they total you?

New models right? I test fit these at the nearest cycle gear and I can vouch for the comfort level. So light and so well fitting. Didn't feel any loss of movement, but I felt a lot more stable. I really want a pair for myself in black.

These honestly felt better than the Alpinestars Shibuya Riding Shoes I was wearing that day. Totally regret that purchase now.

I bought a pair of Dainese TRQ boots, ended up going back to the store and exchanging them because they hurt my left foot (I must have an odd left foot, cause my right foot felt fine). I tried on the SMX-Plus, paid the difference and walked out with them. My goodness are those A*s comfortable. They ride very nice too, and feel really sturdy. I've only had them since Wednesday, but I'm really liking them. I got them in black though, since they had the black in stock. Did I mention they're comfy?
I agree with everything the OP mentioned, especially those laces being too darn long.

Got to riding around in these boots. They are very comfy and feel great on the bike. Not much mobility but its to be expected with racing boots. Once the riding season begins again there will be more time to break in these boots properly. Looking forward to putting more time in these boots. Walking around feels quite natural also.
