Set your DVRs... IOM TT tonight

On Velocity.

If you've never seen the Isle of Man, you really should. Un-effing-believable.

And the interviews are hilarious. Bonus points if you can understand what they're saying.

I love the whole vibe of the place and the racers. These guys are in absolutely no way posers. They're tough, weather-beaten, utterly hardcore and totally bada$$.

I also love the fact that it's so modest. When they interview Michael Dunlop, he's in the back of his van loading gear... just like an ordinary track rider. No motorhomes and legions of mechanics for these guys. They're just guys who love it... only they're about twelve times faster than the rest of us and have b*lls as big as the planet.

Love road racing, weather on this side has been a bit windy so the races are starting Sunday.

And an even higher level of respect should go to the road race medics, road racers have balls, the medics do the course, following the pack, on a fully kitted out bike

My uncle did that right up until the day he died.

They cremated him. Sumbitch burned for three and a half days.

My wife has family in England and I have asked about going to see the races live. I was told that you need to book hotels and such over a year in advance to hope to get a room. Some are permantly booked by the same people each year! I may go next year if they dont come here for the summer. This is near the top of my bucket list.

rent a van, petrol is expensive as hell but you have a mobile area that has space for all of your stuff and to sleep in, best part is that you'll always have food supplies and such at hand and you can "comfortably" fit 3-4 people in said van to sleep

They book out early alright, camping is available a bit easier.

Getting a van space on the boat may be about as easy as getting a hotel...

Weather may not be your friend, but it'll be worth it

I am more than willing to camp or sleep in a van and I believe I could convince the wife to do it for a day or two, but her sister and brother in law would not. My brother in law (Rob) is checking to see if he knows anyone who has a connection or knows someone...... I dont think it will be 2016 as of now, the wife and fam are planning a cruise but possible 2017! She planned the Phillipines trip for this year and the cruise next year is a family affair so I will have some influence over 2017. I will have plenty of video if I do go

Last night was uneventful, unless you think lambchop's bike dying, Dunlop crashing and some guy that's been doing this course for 47 year finally winning.

I guess today was better, for some (Hutch).

My girlfriend and I watched the first lap of the first few racers before going to bed. I think that single-handedly got her interested in motorcycle racing (never could get her to watch MotoGP with me).

James Hillier has the best job, they just let him take an h2r down the mountain course where he hit a top speed of 206mph

So I'm staying up late every night watching these hooligans riding like maniacs on country streets and I still haven't seen any 250s. What's the story? Do they save the best until last?

Think I heard the announcer say yesterday that the lightweight class is now 600's replacing the 250's

It'd be too boring because there aren't enough turns. 250s are only faster than bigger bikes on the turns.

OK so I finally finished watching all of it.

OLD GUYS RULE.

and

I want Guy Martin to win one of these days just so I can try to decipher what he says during the post-race interview.

That is all.

I like the way they did this years more than the past couple years ive watched. Being able to basically watch what happened that day or day before was cool instead of spreading it out over a month or 2.

Was cool to see the story of Hutchy ( i wasnt into bikes 5 years ago when he got int he accident) and nice to see him on the podium so much and even get 3 wins for team green. Really happy John McG won the senior and with a crazy good time and lap speed really showing he can still be at the top. Hope he ties or beats the record, im sure with the TT zero in play now he will be able to.

If anyone can provide an invite for the technologically underprivileged, fire away.

Spent an hour or two doing ninja 250 valves today and installing race cams, yet my tent is not outfitted with a DVR or similar device.

Internet? PM me an invite to the special club which will not be named.

I agree, there is another similar series on Velocity during the season called "Real Road Racing" International 100 road series. Mcguiness, Martin, Dunlop, Hillier and the rest run similar "road" corses thru small Northern European towns at insane speeds. Same amazing type of racing as the TT. They are going over 100 mph just inches from the stone walls and hitting "jumps" mid street! Guy Martin has won a few and when he is excited I bet you cant understand 1 in 15 words he says! Great racing and once Guy is fired up he speaks like a machine gun with an accent!

"Sorry sir, that service is not yet available in your area."

Hell, we don't even have 3G cellphone coverage around here.

I wonder how difficult it would to build an antenna that can receive "live" TV directly from the lsle of Man.

Oh wait, that already exists. I think it is called the internet.
