tires upgrade.?

hi, good eve fellow ninja.

i just want to ask, what size are the maximum we can put for our rear tire?

160/60, 150/60, 140/70?

i'm not into top speed concern, i'm more on looks.

btw, i'm using our stock rims.

TIA.

150 and depending on brand/model it will pinch or have clearance issues with the chain guard. A 107 link chain, will solve the clearance issue but not the pinch. Search around the forums here, I believe the 150 michelins were a direct mount with the stock bits and little to no pinching.

Sorry, I don't run a 150 rear but you can see some pics in this thread as well as others.

@LoMBoY_21 - for info, the 150/60 Pirelli is no problem - I got it with a 4 inch rim.
But when you look for the widest one then go with the Battlax 140/70, since I've seen here that even the 130/70 Battlax looks as wide as my 150/60 Pirelli. With the 140 maybe there could be a clearance issue already (this idk)?
And with the 160/60, like @csmith12 already said, you'll have a clearance issue with the chain (maybe not with the Pirelli since this is the smallest of all makes).

Tires aren't farkles!
I went with a BT003 140 on the rear and it's damn near perfect. Smooth transition and plenty of grip at lean.

Pretty sure you mean 108 links, since the links alternate and aren't identical. I have seen some chains with plates that weren't flat so that all links fit into each other and were identical, but I doubt there are any motorcycle chains like that.
