I just got a commission for a painting. A friend/old coworker emailed me and asked me to do a painting of his daughter's dog that just passed. I agreed.

This will be fun. I am supposed to take pictures of the WIP for my painting I'll be doing in my acrylics class. Maybe I'll do the same for this one as well.

I'm going to be ditching the watermark most likely, but these still have it.

My Last post was back in March. Well, I decided to pick up the pencil (in this case, the stylus) once again. Did these today, just quick sketches. My hand isn't as loose as it used to be. They are okay at best.

Yep keep practicing, Drawing is like guitar, there is no shortcut just repetition and refinement until people start going wow, and you know you are going somewhere. And keep the early stuff because it is great to see how you have developed. Like these guys (which I posted earlier.)

My thing is photography. I really enjoy it. Drawing and art has always been something I just do to relax. I don't think I would want to do it for a living. I think I'd get tired of it if I was forced to do it all the time.

I appreciate that! I just know how far I have come since the first image I posted in this thread, so it would be stupid to give it up.

More about painting than drawing but try painting mixing from printers primaries Cyan, Magenta, Yellow
I know it is well established in principle but painters seldom try it. It is quite exciting, well not 165hp exciting, but by painterly standards it is
