Greetings from Minneapolis

Hey, folks.

Checking in from the Twin Cities. We added a 2004 to the stable back in 2008. The original owner had put only 750 miles on it when we bought it. It was originally going to be my GF's bike, but she could never get comfortable on it. I added bar risers, but it was still "no dice". I started commuting on it, then started riding more miles on the weekends. We found a different bike for her, but this one remained with us. It now has over 15K on the clock.

Since I do a lot of Long Distance riding, I thought "Hey, why not run some LD events on her?" So I did. With the addition of some soft luggage and a Mike's Euroshield, I've been piling up the miles. A couple weeks ago, I ran up to Grand Marais, MN and back in 12 hours. 617 miles total.

Anyway, she's been a great bike. She's due for an oil change now and a new chain. There's nothing quite like taking a 250 up to redline.

I spent 3 years in the Twin Cities (Woodbury) while on recruiting duty for the Marine Corps... only really bad thing as far as riding goes is that you only really get a couple of good months to do it in. So freakin' cold up there in the frozen north. Welcome to the Forums and thats a really clean 250 you have there
