Definitely shouldn't be priced at the same level as a ninja.

For $2000-2500 you can easily find a 2008-2012 Ninja 250. Way more reliable, more powerful, much better bike overall.

The Hyosung I wouldn't buy, but if I had to I wouldn't pay more than $1500.

This,

I don't know if I would even go $1,500 on it. For $1,500 you can find a very nice pregen.

Cheap bikes. No way I'd pay more than 800 for one.

Have ridden 2 GT250R's. Don't like them. Quality. fit & finish not up to Jap bike standards.

There's lots of people that have reported getting rust problems on the exhaust and various bolts.

It rains a lot here so I choose to exclude the Hyosung GT250r from my list of potential bikes.

I'm not sure if the 2012 suffers from rust as much as earlier ones (I was originally looking at 2011 and earlier), so it might be worth doing some googling to check.

BTW: I like your pre-gen! Are you having problems with it? Is that why you are thinking of buying this Hyosung?

Buy a Ninja Buddy... You'll be much better off for it... Even a CBR250 would be way better than buying a Hyosung GT250R...

They're heaps of ****, they rust very badly, their electrics are 'faulty' to put it mildly & they have a real tendency to break down.

They do look good, case point that you can polish a turd...
